#youtube Andre Drummond vs. Mitchell Robinson: Who Fits Better? No One Says This! youtube.com/watch?v=y2sVQig-…
The answer is no because it purposefully destroys a team's ability to improve their team, and no, I am not talking about just the draft pick freeze. So signing Mitchell Robinson or Bruce Brown is a sound reason for entering the threshold.
At the moment, Denver is the only team in the 2nd apron, and I don't think they will finish there but we'll see. And those who feel the Knicks should join need to take a path of caution. The Nuggets didn't sign anyone to land there; they just simply failed to shed enough salary. Keep in mind they lost Watson and bought out Valanciunas.
This idea to limit the capabilities of contending teams was indeed the purpose of the apron. It goes back to the lockout in 2011 when the small-market owners were pushing back on high players' salaries and desired a hard cap. Even though we don't technically have a standard hard cap, the apron can become one, or teams will simply refuse it.
I think the narrative to entice the Knicks to enter it is a trap, and the truth is they want to see us fall. Cause deep down inside, they know that we have the ability to repeat.
Knicks just waived Bruce Brown to stay under the second apron and keep Wiseman…
Zero teams in the league are over it…
Every other owner looked at the penalties and said no…
The same people calling the Knicks cheap want them to be the only team stupid enough to go over it…
Meanwhile Philly is walking into Banner Night with a 42-year-old LeBron, a guy who called a first-round exit his favorite season, and Embiid saying nobody has to sacrifice…
The champs are staying clean and shopping the roster to keep veterans under the line…
And the reaction is still that New York should ignore the rules everyone else is following…
No other team is dumb enough to do it…
But the Knicks are supposed to be the exception…
You still think the Knicks should be the only team to go over the apron? Yes or no.
#NYKnicks
Yeah, but how many times has he played us in the last 3 years? Most of those wins happened before Brunson and Rose were here.
