My own contribution to this very special Special Issue is on the meta-politics of climate change. It combines, finally, my climate intervention & governance-object sides, & offers a novel distinction between gov objects that can just b protected, versus more 'malleable' ones🧵👇

People who attack Palestinians for choosing the poppy as a symbol should see the blooms on the remains of Burayr, a Gaza district village erased by Haganah units in 1948 its inhabitants murdered in their homes or as they fled in terror to what is now the Gaza Strip.

There has never, in our lifetimes, been a genocidal ethnic cleansing campaign that the genocidal ethnic cleaners have so openly bragged about doing.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Lebanon: Look at what is happening in Lebanon. Today, more than 60 villages in southern Lebanon, beginning with those adjacent to the border, and beyond that, throughout the entire security zone up to the Yellow Line, an area of 700 square kilometers, are destroyed. All the villages have been wiped out. Twenty-three thousand houses, all destroyed, demolished. I am not even talking about what is underground, about the tunnels. Everything has been destroyed. There are no residents there. Two hundred thousand residents are outside. This is the Gaza model. And this is the model we are implementing.

Yeah, so my father arrived in the UK in 1966 as a legal immigrant. He and his fellow Indian immigrants didn’t claim the entire country was theirs, didn’t kick 100s of 1000s of Brits out of their homes, and didn’t set up an Indian ethno-national state in the UK. If you’re too dumb or dishonest to understand the difference between normal, legal immigration and settler colonialism, that’s on you, not me.
Just so weird when someone living in the UK called Mehdi Hasan makes this argument. His family comes from India. I’m not sure he's thought the argument through to its unpleasant conclusion.

Does this apology extend to the hundreds of Palestinians who were brutalized during the same attack?
I just called Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was brutally attacked by violent rioters on Friday. As President of the State of Israel, I strongly condemn this outrageous and shocking violence, both the terrible attack on Heidi and other grave incidents of violence, such as what took place today in Taybeh. I expressed my deepest sorrow to Heidi and apologized for what she went through. The despicable behavior of the perpetrators of this attack does not represent the citizens or the values of the State of Israel. Israel is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, and it must act with full force against every form of violence. Each incident is being thoroughly investigated, and we await the findings. All government, security, and law enforcement authorities must use every means at their disposal to investigate thoroughly, apprehend these lawbreakers, and bring them to justice with the fullest extent of the law. On behalf of the entire nation, I wish Heidi good health and a speedy recovery.

A statement was issued just moments ago announcing a ban on the entry of commercial goods into Gaza City until further notice. Meanwhile, late at night, people have begun rushing to the markets, trying to buy whatever food they can for their children out of fear that food supplies will run out and famine will return. If the ban on commercial goods and food supplies entering Gaza continues, famine will return in an even more severe and devastating form. Enough playing with our lives. We are human beings, not numbers.

A really excellent response by Barnet’s solitary Green councillor Charli Anne Thompson to Zionist hooligan Sarah Sackman (ex vice chair in Labour Zionist group the JLM). This is the polite, articulate politician’s way to say “F off”. 10/10, no notes.

Latest on Heidi Levine: broken rib, four broken vertebrae, her finger was nearly cut off, multiple potential stabbing wounds. Surgery first thing in the morning.
Heidi is going to be okay, but her injuries are significantly worse than initially thought. It appears that she may have been stabbed. She’s getting ready for surgery.

Here’s the American that just got savagely beaten by settlers. Not Heidi Levine—the one from yesterday, Haitham Taysir.
Palestinian-American citizen Haitham Tayseer Abdel Jaber, from the town of Burqa near Ramallah, recounted to MEE a violent assault by Israeli settlers on Thursday which left him with severe injuries.

This directly contradicts the ICJ provisional measures order since it ordered Israel to *preserve evidence*
One of the most brutal scenes in human history has been leaked. The Israeli military changing the landscape of Gaza in Rafah and removing the traces of genocide. A video that the world must never forget.

This has a name: state-sponsored terrorism and ethnic cleansing.
Masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers on Friday, setting olive groves on fire and slinging rocks. Caught in the attack was Post photographer Heidi Levine. “They just kept kicking me and kicking me, like probably 50 times,” Levine said. wapo.st/4yt6dHY

To be clear, the only reason I was able to reach Heidi was because young Palestinians provided cover with rocks against machine-gun- and tear-gas-wielding settlers and soldiers. It’s those kids, not the settler terrorists, who the IDF was hunting after the attack.

Watch the first clip here. Heidi Levine is a Washington Post journalist in her mid 60s. Let's see how the Western media handles this one.

Severe settler + soldier attack on olive harvesters in Abu Falah. American WaPo journalist Heidi Levine badly wounded. Machine gunfire—at least one Palestinian shot. Tear gas. Soldiers assaulting journalists.

My entire Twitter timeline is full of UK politicians and media politicians angrily and passionately condemning a Green Party motion about Zionism. Meanwhile, over in Gaza… “At least six Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes on Gaza at the weekend, medics have said. At least five people, including four women, were killed on Saturday when an apartment building was struck. Two of the dead were Christian women – a mother and daughter” Crickets from UK political and media elites. Palestinians, as ever, are unpeople in the eyes of much of the British press. "The genocide continues" #GenocideinGaza
Since October 2023, as part of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, Israel has killed more than 74,000 people, forcibly displaced some 1.9 million Palestinians, and destroyed and erased entire cities off the face of the earth. Since the beginning of September, Israel has killed 106 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including at least 17 children and teenagers. Since the “ceasefire” was declared in October 2025, Israel has killed around 1,421 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including at least 300 children and teenagers. Israel continues to kill, restrict the entry of humanitarian aid and deny access to water and food as a method of warfare, while blocking every attempt to repair the catastrophic damage and restore vital systems. The genocide continues.
