Just a very stupid performance all around. Both sides of ball played badly with penalties, turnovers, bad tackles and bad decisions. Gunner played worst game of his career to a point where wonder if he was concussed.
Auburn whooped us in trenches for much of game too.
Awful.
Aaaah, the Hose Bowl. One of the many, many reasons for a bone-deep hatred of the barners.
I was there! As I recounted on my long-ago blog:

Gutting their operation of real journalists isn't enough at Bristol. they want to gaslight you and devalue everything it is actual journalists do while they prop up a wind-up chimp who bangs his cymbols together in a way that pleases their warped ears.

Kirk/Chris are usually solid + know it’s debut week for Saban hagiography on ESPN but man this coverage tonight has felt like how probably feels like listening to Bama Radio Network. No mention of missed holding calls by Bama but it’s Oliver Stone “JFK” on any calls against Bama

Tight ends have committed 3 penalties, two of which have been impactful holding flags.
And yes, Bama is not being called on holding at all. But that ain’t exactly a surprise.

A fan led group called Stop24 has launched a website citing academic papers, tv ratings and more to lobby against expansion of the CFP field
It asks to “Keep Saturdays consequential” and shows that 30 of 40 teams ranked 17-24 from 2021-2025 had 3 losses

I’ve never seen cfb fans agree this much on not wanting something
Making the regular season perfunctory for the programs that are the biggest TV draws in a sport that is all about the regular season is, quite literally, the dumbest business move in the history of college sports
CFP leaders are closer than ever to expanding to a 24-team playoff. They are talking buyouts of conference title games and scheduling logistics of doubling the field.
Foregone conclusion?
“If we can get a decent (TV) deal, we are definitely going to 24.”
