Question from the DMs Why do you keep adding creators when some of us haven’t been getting shouted out? Answer: First let me share I got permission to share this question first so it’s not a shaming reply- first and foremost we’re under no obligation to shout you out - we do it because we love to but the obvious trade off when we started getting into the thousands of members is that people were going to get missed sometimes and we hate that. Some of that is due to the X algorithm, some of that is due to the fact you may have been added then never interacted with us again, some of that is just because there’s so many in our library. Our mission is simple, be a stage to be seen and one more place to be appreciated and found. Our library/website does the heavy lifting there and shows 100-150 live creators 24/7 and chances are you’re there when you’re live. It’s a big reason why we have so many community and platform pages to give creators the most chances as possible to be seen. Now when we break it down to the shoutouts being twice a day 365 days a year even if we changed the times every day we’re going to miss people - there’s just too many minutes in the day and not enough tweets to go round. It’s easy to get stuck in the world of tunnel vision and we get it, for some of you the totality doesn’t matter and all you know for sure is it’s been a minute since we last @ you. We can appreciate that frustration and as many can attest when you make us aware we do our best to ensure we show love. Our ask is this - if you published a book and got it in your local library there may be a signing event, maybe a shout out or two, but for the most part the pay off is simply being in the library and knowing your book is being seen - extend us the same courtesy and know your book is special to us and we’d love to shout you out daily but we also are trying to get to everyone’s book. If we have been missing yours, let us know but in a respectful way. Love you all and thank you for your understanding! 🙏
