It's back!!!! In 2026, we are returning with a 7th season of Saturdays with the Stars, this season celebrating the men & women who jump off buildings, fight the villains, and save the day. Time for Lights, Camera, ACTION: theworldofjot29.blogspot.com…
Garcia is right, for the record. Even if internals show Hinojosa as a lost cause (and I can't imagine they do), Beshear should be taking every advantage of helping boost his credentials with a key part of the Dem base ahead of 2028.
#TexasGovernor
Axios: Andy Beshear recently skipped a Zoom call with Latino leaders and lawmakers from Texas to discuss the governor's race.
"It just baffles me that someone who was even thinking of 2028 would disrespect us and not meet," Rep. Silvia Garcia (D-Texas) told Axios, noting that seven Latino members of Congress were on the call. "Just freaking five minutes on a Zoom … and excuse yourself."
"I really felt like he disrespected the group, and that he is going to have a serious Latino problem if he doesn't know how to do the outreach and the communication that's going to need to get us to the White House."
I'd say it's a Democrat in Paxton's immediate family, but given his personal issues I don't even know if that'd count.
I repeatedly saw Democrats (including some who follow me) complain about Pelosi, and I always kept thinking "you know you're never going to get a leader this good again in your lifetime, right?"
Just the best of the best.
On October 16, 2019, I told Donald Trump, “With you, Mr. President, all roads lead to Putin.”
On October 16, 2026, Trump signed an executive order waiving new sanctions on Russia passed by bipartisan majorities in Congress and signed into law just last month.
This decision insults America’s commitment to democracy and our brave men and women in uniform, as Russia helps Iran target American forces.
I join Republican senators in condemning this unconscionable capitulation to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians.
As I have asked for years: What does Putin have on Trump that he would sell out America’s values?
I will donate my next paycheck to the DCCC if I never have to be subjected to another opinion from James Carville for as long as I live.
What a seriously stupid thing to believe.
James Carville says he'd rather have Republicans keep control of the House than Democrats winning the chamber by 5 seats.
"I would rather the Republicans keep the House by five than the Democrats win by five, because if that happens, they’re hostage to the DSA. Like, Hakeem cannot move. There’s no place for him to go."
He's literally in Congress, and I can pretty much guarantee that Chuck Schumer would take his call if he wanted to actually do this.
The GOP acting like Trump is some tornado they can't stop is so infuriating.

A) Talarico will be a new Ossoff/Rosen, not a new Manchin.
B) Another Manchin to replace someone like Cornyn or Sullivan would be a godsend. Complaining about it would be like yelling at the Triple A guy showing up when you have a flat tire.
Just once I would like a journalist to tell someone like Warner "so if your house is on fire, you'll take care of that yourself, right?" and see how they respond.
Because people like Warner want to be freeloaders who get a government handout if they don't pay property taxes.
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

We're just 16 days until the election-I doubt that Sabato changes any of the tossups before their Election Day deadline when they switch them all (I wouldn't be stunned if SC goes Lean R before then though).
At that point-I would assume they'll guess OH/ME/TX blue & IA/KS red.
Given Trump's disapproval level here, D+8 is a decent result for the GOP. You wouldn't be seeing seats like KY-6 & NV-2 in trouble with this margin, and it's likely that that the GOP would get a decent chunk of IA/KS/TX/AK/OH here.
But that disapproval seems worse than D+8.

It'll probably be VA-2, with an outside shot it's OH-7 (scandal-scarred incumbent, very little public polling-this could be a unique blowout).
The GOP better pray it's not KY-6 as otherwise they're looking at a VERY long night (and it could be KY-6).
It's hard not to assume that Graham will basically become an "invisible" senator if she wins, staying in DC but rarely (if ever) attending things like parades, community events, & forums in South Carolina.
SC has one shot here to get an actual senator the next 6 years.

“we will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.” Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.
It's way too early to extrapolate anything here in terms of results but I will note that this is (so far) backing up that Dems seem more likely to vote in-person in 2026, which polling has also backed...which is a good reason to take early voting in general with a grain of salt.
I think this might be the hardest major race to predict.
Polling shows Jackson should edge out KLB, but a blue wave should be enough to carry Lance Bottoms through, especially given Dem voter growth in the Atlanta metro. Whatever I guess in the end, I won't be confident.

This week we're moving into the debate of Cruise as a great actor (or not), by looking at one of the films that Cruise used to try and prove the debate once-and-for-all, Born on the Fourth of July: theworldofjot29.blogspot.com…
We talk today about Tom Cruise's very public love life as we discuss one of the film's he made with his second wife Nicole Kidman, in the Oscar-nominated Days of Thunder: theworldofjot29.blogspot.com…
The way I would line up for these books at B. Dalton growing up because I was so enamored. I had most of them.
If there's a petition to have her replace Martin, I'd sign it.
