What an Awesome Place!!!
APPALACHIAN TRAIL THRU HIKE 25' -DAY 7 - Pine Grove Furnace State Park. This Place is Where The Halfway Point of The Appalachian Trail is. Since I'm Flip Flopping, I Have Much More Than Half to Go...I Still Have Over 2000 More Miles to Walk... It's Been Cold and Icy But It's Been a Great Adventure So Far!!!
Lend me your ears. 😁
Friends, Hikers, Trail Angels, Lend Me Your Ears!
I come to celebrate the trail, not to complain about it. The climbs that challenge us live long in our legs, But the beauty we witness lingers far longer in our souls.
The wilderness is rugged, but it is fair;
It asks only that we respect it,
Yet some, fearing its hardships, call it cruel.
If this be true, then hardship should be our teacher,
For every summit we conquer proves our strength.
You all have felt the rain on your shoulders,
The wind in your face, the sun at your back.
You have seen the ridges stretch beyond sight,
And known the peace that only the deep woods can give.
So I ask you now, not as weary hikers,
But as those who chase adventure with every step.
Will you shrink before the next climb?
Or will you rise, boots firm, hearts steady,
And walk forward, ever onward, to the next great view?
The trail is before us,
And it calls our names!

DID YOU KNOW That Timber Rattlesnakes are Protected on South Mountain in Pennsylvania?
Fact Is That Timber Rattlesnakes and Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes are Protected Just About Everywhere...Except in Your House. Rattlesnakes Very Rarely Kill Humans Though a Rattlesnake Bite Is Very Serious. It Can Take More Than a Year to Recover The Use of a Hand of One Was to Be Bitten There...and Full Recovery is Out of The Question. The Venom of a Rattlesnake Destroys Skin Tissues and Blood Cells by Causing a Person to Hemorrhage Internally.... It's Best to Avoid Them. The Law Requires That You Do. That Includes Attempting to Move A Rattlesnake Off of The Trail, Poking Them With a Stick, and Throwing Rocks at Them. DISTURBING A RATTLESNAKE IS A CRIME....Killing a Rattlesnake is Worse. and Yes, If You Are Wondering, They Do Taste Like Chicken. That is All. Carry On. I'll Be Here All Week. Try The Veal. 🐍 ❤️
The perfect spot for a rest is one where time doesn't exist. The view of the surrounding area takes hold and the only measurement of time is in how full the heart feels.
I Love The Appalachian Trail ❤️
