Debate over punishing staff who were victims of a cyber phish or smish or escalating their support and education is an interest discussion today.
Seems like we need to treat a cyber weakness as a similar situation to a patient safety reporting event. Group knowledge and ‘safe reporting’ should override punishment.
People don’t get into Healthcare to worry about cybersecurity… you need to craft your messaging to make sure the messages don’t alienate the staff, and causes them to NOT use technology, that might save a life… thoughts from the stage at @HIMSS #CybersecurityForum
