You know, @AMCTheatres, I think if you tried, real hard, with some careful planning and holding your breath like a spelunker compressing his rib cage to climb down a chimney never before touched by human hands, you could probably shoehorn another metric ton of ads on your webpage. Seriously, I really love the dine in theatres because they are awesome. Your webpage? It is more like standing on a corner in New York City trying to get my bearings while street preachers and homeless are screaming into both ears.

This post can scare people who don’t know how training actually works. Collapse is real if you throw out the human data and retrain only on what the last model wrote. Claiming that new human data would not help is a head scratcher. Why would that be so? You add data so the next pass can correct the last one. The whole point of adding data is that fact finding and truth determination are like taking a limit in an iterative manner. The danger I worry about more is not the big models turning into gibberish. It is the owner who hands projections to a financial AI without knowing the principles underneath. Models still hallucinate. That’s a grocery manager given blueprints, a crew, and heavy equipment and told to build a bridge. He has the information, labor, and machines. He does not have the trade.

Krakatau erupting when the Pacific expects to see the largest El Niño in decades should concern everyone. This was my perception. Looking into it, though, Tambora, 970 miles away, blew in 1815 with ten times the force and displacement of the 1883 Krakatoa event leading to The Year Without a Summer where crops failed worldwide. I had confused Krakatoa with Tambora. Krakatau appears to be a local event, not a climate altering one. Still bears thinking about in light of modern revelations. Tambora is also the event that pushed Joseph Smith, Jr.’s family to move to within walking distance of Mt. Cumorah.
🚨 Indonesia's Mt. Anak Krakatau erupted Friday September 4 overnight into Saturday, spewing rocks and volcanic ash into the air. Another eruption occurred in the following hours, with the height of the column of black smoke observed at over 1,000 meters.

Fourier wrapped a signal around a circle in 1822. Every Spotify equalizer, every noise filter in your AirPods, and every frequency layer inside ChatGPT runs on what he found. The trick is simple. Spin the signal at different speeds. When the spin matches a hidden frequency, the center of mass shifts. That shift is the answer. Claude and GPT use this same idea to separate relevant tokens from noise. 20 minutes. Bookmark & watch today. The math is older than the telephone.

A NASA fellow claims 5 equations explain 99 percent of the physics that actually runs your world. Understand them deeply and you are set for life. His words. And the way he does it is what makes the video worth it. He does not teach the five as a list. He tells them as one story, where each equation is born from the one before it. F equals ma leads into gravity. Gravity rhymes with the law of electric charge, the exact same shape. That connects to magnetism. Magnetism folds into the wave. And the wave quietly opens the door to relativity and quantum physics. By the end, all of physics feels like a single sentence written by one hand, not a pile of formulas you were forced to memorize. The move that stays with you comes first. He says F equals ma is written the wrong way around, and rewrites it. One tiny flip, and the most famous equation on Earth suddenly means something school never told you. His point for why this matters now: in the age of AI, the people who understand reality itself stay in demand. Everyone else is just memorizing. Five equations. One thread. It is in the video.

Just read a blurb from one of the financial investment letters ...you know the type → "Give us $49 and we'll show you a stock that possibly, maybe, if the stars are just right and Jupiter is in its ascendancy, could result in generational wealth for you and your family!" Right. Whatever. I just remember Thornburg Mortgage and move on. Anyways, it looks like Coinbase has taught an AI agent to spend money, or AI Agent(S) to spend money. It's a bit fuzzy as these things are by nature but reading it did not feel like a warm, fuzzy thing to me. Seems like the perfect potting soil for one of those Black Swan Events.

Shadow AI is the unauthorized use of AI tools and applications within an organization without the knowledge or approval of the IT or Security Team. Folks use AI to do their work faster. The problem is AI hallucinations, where AI confidently makes up false information still occur in all AIs. Shadow AI can magnify those hallucinations through a large number of vectors poisoning a company's internal documents, reports, and business decisions. While the risk is small that these hallucinations can poison the training datasets used to train an LLM, the risk is not zero.

Father’s Day is always special for me. My sweetheart, wife, and love ❤️ of my life always makes it so. She and our two daughters, Maria and Savannah, the other two loves 💕of my life never fail to make me feel like being a father is literally the pinnacle of this life. Being sealed to them in the Temple of the Most High God, our Heavenly Father, is of more comfort than I am able to express in English.
