I respect all of my peers in the local Pittsburgh media, but at the same time, I am just friggin tired of the endless hate and shots taken at the college university that represents this city. I grew up going to all Pitt home games with my dad. Yes, there have been more downs than ups in my lifetime with this program. They’ve always had the players and talent, which is why I look at opposing fans like they have the IQ of the common frog when they say Pitt is irrelevant. Despite having Pro Football HOF talent, they’ve never been able to put it all together since Jackie Sherrill left. But since joining the ACC and since Pat Narduzzi has been coach, this team has fought, and clawed, and always given everything on the playing field, and when they haven’t, I’ve called them out for it. They’ve made ACC Championship games, they’ve won them. And when they do, there’s always an excuse from the local media or opposing fanbase. Piss off man. That’s why I started making the Pitt GameDay Previews. It provides you every bit of information on both teams, the history of the program, and a positive view of the team. As I said, I am hard and critical of this team when they deserve it, but I will always have this team’s back. I care about the players and coaches. So if it makes your day that much better to bash this program endlessly about attendance, winning, the head coach, have at it. Whatever makes you feel better. Me, I’ll be back after recovering from this injury and providing the best coverage of Pitt football that I can, and I’ll always do that proudly. Hail to Pitt.
