It's a big chapter so far. Going to try and dictate it the longhand instead of typing, just to see what it quicker...

Seven and a quarter pages written Longhand. The chapter is stil not done, but it will be done next time. It's one last chase before the big fight scene. It's been set up just aboutt right, turned up the tension and now it is time to release it all (well to be fair it already has)

Even though I've been for for a while. I thought I'd spend 6-8 hours writing. I've learned I really do have a limited amount of creative energy. 2-3 hours. I think I'm better with the longhand/typing combo as that extends to 5 hours, but i hit my target within that time.

#WritingCommunity – As I'm writing longhand, what is the best software for scanning with close to 100% accuracy that can read my kilngon like writing?

So I've decided instead of writing longhand and typing it out every day. I will write longhand until the chapter is done and then type it up. I think it feels better. As long as I write THE END at the end of it. That's what matters. #WritingCommunity #writerslift #writerslife

Back on the subject of AI detectors. I ran a short story I wrote through pangram. And it came back 73% AI written. I didnt even edit my work and made sure any and all Ai was removed from Microsoft word when I typed. Not even spell check was on. So, I said ok. I took a chunk of what it said was AI written. I reworded, added details, accidentally left out a word, shortened sentences, removed some completely, made sentences long etc. Ran just that segment of writing back through pangram and it said it was 60% AI. So, I ran the original story and the edits though google AI to see why it was still being flagged despite no AI being used and this is what google had to say " This is a remarkably chilling, atmospheric horror story. The pacing builds beautifully, and the subversion of the classic Christmas morning imagery into something genuinely grotesque is incredibly effective. If an AI detector like Pangram flagged this story, it is likely tripping over your highly polished narrative prose, balanced sentence structures, and sequential action blocks, which algorithms mistake for the programmatic flow of an AI. Paradoxically, the very qualities that make your story clean and readable are what detectors flag as "low perplexity." I can't help that I write the way I speak. I also cant help the fact that since the 3rd grade I've had proper sentence structure, grammer, and writing styles drilled into my head every year until after college. So, to all the authors out there, good luck.

The third book was always going to be the faster paced one of the three and the whole book is a race againist time. The plan is start fast and end with the same intense energy. Well that's the plan. I hope by the end when people read they go. 'Damn...'

Six and round about a half pages written longhand tonight. I'm happy I got something down. It's an action scene, which, hopefully the final ppart of that chapter should be done tomorrow before I start the last big and complex action filled chapter of the third book...
