YouTube will demonetize a channel out of nowhere with no explanation that makes sense.. often right around payday.
Yet they keep pushing the content, and people report record views they can't monetize.
SOMETHING DOESN'T ADD UP.

Instagram removed end-to-end encryption for all direct messages on May 8, 2026. Every private conversation you have on Instagram can now be read by Meta. The justification Meta gave publicly was that very few users had opted into the feature. What analysts noted is that the timing aligned precisely with the Take It Down Act deadline of May 19, 2026, a law requiring platforms to detect and remove harmful content within 48 hours. End-to-end encryption makes that detection impossible. Meta removed encryption to stay compliant and framed it as a housekeeping decision.
Now combine that with the photo library access issue and the picture gets considerably worse.
The technical reality of full photo library access is exactly what it sounds like. Instagram can browse every photo in your camera roll, not just the ones you choose to upload. Metadata embedded in those photos includes GPS coordinates, timestamps, device information, and in some cases facial recognition data. That information feeds Meta’s advertising and recommendation infrastructure regardless of whether you post the photo publicly.
The critique here is about the trajectory, not any single decision in isolation.
Meta spent years promoting privacy as a feature. The future is private was their actual marketing slogan. What has happened since is the systematic dismantling of every privacy protection they ever offered. E2EE introduced in 2023, removed May 2026. Private DMs now readable by Meta. Photo library access granted by users who were never clearly told what full access actually means. December 2025 Meta announced AI interactions in private conversations could be used for targeted advertising.
Each individual decision has a defensible explanation. Taken together they represent a platform that collected user trust through privacy promises and is now quietly withdrawing them one feature at a time.
The permission you granted during setup was not informed consent. It was a tap on a dialogue box most people did not read, granting access to a catalogue of personal photos to a company that just removed the last meaningful privacy protection from its messaging system.

Members of the group Patriot Front ride the metro on the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence in Washington, D.C. Photo by @orr_photo

This may be the image that defines America's 250th birthday.
A woman sits calmly on a Washington Metro train as masked members of the white nationalist and domestic terrorist group Patriot Front surround her.
They covered their faces.
She didn't.
Earlier in the day, Patriot Front marched through the nation's capital carrying Confederate flags and chanting that America must be "reclaimed," the latest expression of a white nationalist movement that has grown increasingly visible, violent, emboldened, and politically influential in recent years.
Their ideology is explicit.
Their courage, apparently, is not.
Not one of them was willing to show his face.
And then there is her.
No mask. No uniform. No fear.
Just an American woman refusing to surrender an inch of her dignity to a group of men who appeared to be seeking exactly that.
The symbolism is almost too perfect.
250 years after the Declaration of Independence, and six decades after Americans marched and died to make its promises apply to everyone, a group of masked white nationalists rode the socialist Metro home in anonymity.
The woman they tried to intimidate is the one America will remember.
The people who hide their faces do not define this country.
The people who refuse to be afraid do.

Elon Musk gets mad when people point out that DOGE and its USAID cuts killed thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of babies, children, mothers, and elders.
nobody retweeted
It is downright embarrassing how often Elon is completely and factually wrong in his political statements.
The USAID tent which he claims represents US taxpayers funding terrorists via USAID actually belongs to a camp where USAID was providing humanitarian aid to refugees.
The camp was forcibly seized and invaded by a terrorist group, and that group used the remaining USAID tent for a video.
How can someone with the reach of Elon spread misinformation based on a single image, without any background information or verification?!
The "fake news" Elon talks about is being created and spread by none other than himself.

Dear @YouTube @YouTubeCreators
I have done everything I humanly could to be in compliance with the YouTube Community Guidelines:
- I have reviewed the YouTube rules numerous times
- I have contacted YouTube Creator Support for clarification
- I adjusted the content accordingly again and again and again
- When YouTube Community Guidelines changed, I adjusted my content to be compliant
I have spent endless hours to comply with the YouTube rules.
The channel deletion is clearly a mistake.
Please get a real human being to review this. Put my channel back, and help us understand how we can comply better so this nightmare does not happen to any honest creator again.
I remain committed to the YouTube Community Guidelines.

And for anyone else reading, please amplify this.
1) Tag @YouTube @YouTubeCreators in the comments below
2) please repost and tag @YouTube @YouTubeCreators
Any support is welcome in this nightmare.

🚨 @TeamYouTube
Neal Mohan publicly talks about YouTube making “record profits,” but forgets to mention where a huge part of that money suddenly came from.
Since the 2025 policy changes, YouTube didn’t introduce any revolutionary updates that massively increased platform value:
• No huge new audience influx
• No groundbreaking creator features
• No major innovations bringing record growth
Yet somehow profits exploded.
Why?
Because thousands of creators were demonetized while YouTube continued running ads on their videos and keeping 100% of the revenue.
That’s the part nobody wants to talk about.
The most absurd part is this:
The same content YouTube labels as “inauthentic” continues getting pushed by the algorithm.
➡️ It still gets recommended
➡️ Still finds new viewers
➡️ Still gets likes, comments, engagement
➡️ Still earns money for YouTube
So if the content is supposedly “bad,” “spam,” or “inauthentic,” then why does the algorithm continue promoting it?
And then creators are told:
“Wait 90 days and appeal again.”
But during those 90 days:
• The creator loses income
• The channel continues generating ad revenue
• YouTube keeps all the profit
• And by the time monetization MAYBE returns, the channel is often already exhausted by the algorithm
Meanwhile large creators with repetitive formats, repeated thumbnail structures, recycled series concepts, compilation channels, and mass-produced entertainment formats continue staying fully monetized without problems.
So where exactly is the line?
Why are smaller creators punished while massive creators doing extremely similar content structures remain protected?
And before anyone twists the point:
Most creators were never trying to replace humans completely. People simply used modern tools to improve editing, visuals, workflow, storytelling, thumbnails, or production quality.
That is still work.
That is still creativity.
That is still content creation.
So YouTube, what exactly are the real rules anymo
