Our borrowing costs are higher now than they were last July. You are doing this because the policy is very unpopular, not because the fiscal position is any better. Much better to be honest about it
The Tories left us with a £22 billion black hole. My government has fixed the foundations of our economy. We now have the highest growth in the G7, four interest rate cuts, and we have signed three trade deals to protect jobs and put more money in your pockets. The economy is improving, and I want you to feel that in your day-to-day lives – that is why we are expanding eligibility for the winter fuel allowance.

Oh well done @Ed_Miliband @RachelReevesMP 👏👏👏 Destroying great businesses like this. If either of you had ANY integrity you would RESIGN. Shame on you both, and on @UKLabour 🤬🤬🤬

Whilst #50sWomen struggle to survive, and dying without a penny of their promised pension. Do you not feel, that it is unacceptable, and these women need fellow women to support them. @RachelReevesMP

Lots of good points but actually come to think of it if I get no more than a third of the pension pot of men my age it really wasn’t about levelling up. So I don’t agree any longer I’ve had 7yrs to think on it

@jogideon Jo, #50sWomen would you like to support the millions of 50s born women who have been denied up to 6 yrs State Pension. Many of these ladies had no notice whatsoever of losing up to 6 yrs State Pension. Link here to #EDM243 to show your support. edm.parliament.uk/early-day-…

We need to ask DWP Minister to explain this unfair timetable @Conservatives @PHSOmbudsman @DWP @MelJStride @bbc @itvnews @WEP_UK @loosewomen @UN_Women @BBCWomansHour @centreWJ @TheWomensOrg #CEDAW #50swomen living with injustice & abandonment by Government😡
Did you know that #50swomen born on 6th December 1953 would have lost out on c£3k by being born one day later? That's how ludicrous this timetable is. Every two months another £1,450 was lost.

I always say this very thing to my trainees. Also doing interventional Cardiology is easy, knowing when not to do it, if you do it- the best way of doing it , and getting yourself / patient out of trouble if it goes wrong is the hard part and my role as a trainer.

I received my ‘notification’ of my State Pension increase on the 6/4/24 last week. So the DWP do have my address on record, the same address I have lived at for 37yrs and 6mths but they were unable to use, to inform me of a 6 year pension rise. Why? Please explain. #50sWomen

#CEDAW ratified in 1986 UK Govt thereby promised to "Dismantle or refrain from enacting laws or measures that negatively impact on the lives of women as compared to men" Then they raised SPA for #50sWomen by 6 yrs, throwing many into poverty #FullRestitution is OWED #CEDAWinLAW

Not only is it pathetic, it is all wearing a bit thin now. We know full well, that they can afford it. They stole the money off #50sWomen, and they should pay it all back, in full.
The 'lack of funds' argument is truly pathetic. The evidence against this is in front of our eyes daily. They must think we were born yesterday. Full restitution FOR ALL 1950S WOMEN is the only fair solution! #BackTo60 #50sWomen #50sWomenFullRestitution #CEDAW #NationalInsurance

There is not a single good reason why an unregulated individual who has had no medical training and isn't an obstetrician should be performing caesarean sections on women. Women are not lab rats. When maternal mortality is the highest it's been in 20 years in the UK, consultants enabling this should be taking a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. Pregnant women deserve better.

This isn't a computer game where people can have a go for a bit of fun. It's not as if maternity units up-and-down the country don't have obstetricians who are trained to do these procedures. Things can and do go wrong during caesarean sections. Why place mothers lives at risk when it is completely unnecessary? Even one death is one too many.

Yesterday in Parliament I met with the WASPI campaign team to pledge my support once again for women born in the 1950s, whose State Pension age was increased without proper notice. There are 5,370 WASPI women in Bedford alone and I back the calls of WASPI women. @WASPI_Campaign
