"I'm a parent, too! You don't get to choose for my kid!" @sam_aye_ahm - the round of "Mmm-hmms!" that followed was audible! #AASL23

Happy Thursday, y’all and remember, studies have shown that reading for pleasure, even for just a few minutes a day, can make a significant contribution to our mental health. #bydhttmwfi

Happy 32nd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act! From fighting for Section 504 in 1977 to testifying before Congress in 1988, it was a joyous day when the ADA was finally passed on July 26th, 1990. Though, even 32 years later, there is still more work to be done.

Expressly barring library displays based on categories protected by law, such as sexual orientation and gender, is - among other things - a legal issue. wnylrc.org/ask-the-lawyer/ra…
The Holocaust was law. Jim Crow was law. Saying you’re only following orders aligns you with a long history of fascists. To reference @ALALibrary while directly violating their Code of Ethics is a choice.
