Very tired of hearing about what the intentions are. If a system constantly produces a different outcome than the one it is "intended" for then it's perfectly reasonable to assume the actual intention is the outcome it continues to produce.
In 2028 we'll revise this projection to 2038. In 2038, when it obviously doesn't happen, we'll revise it to 2048.

Saw a guy call it cuck coding instead of vibe coding because you just sit in a chair and watch😭
Hot take:
Gastineau was right. Favre cheapened the game by giving away that sack.
That said, they're both dickheads.
This guy was such an amazingly successful psyop.
To buy stuff, you can just take a picture of your credit card, drop it in the chat and Grok @Bot will scour the Internet for the best deal on the item you want and order it
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
xAI explicitly warns users not to include personal information in prompts, yet credit card photos may contain such information.
Grok Bot's terms state that user data and credentials may be stored in its cloud environment and require human review for financial transactions.

I'm now convinced that AI is in fact making us retarded.

I think this is the right move. Cruelty to something that believes it is experiencing pain is not ok.

The AI maximalists say that we need AI to do all the jobs so that we can be freed to do more meaningful things like make art and read to our children. But then they also want AI to make art and read to our children. So what exactly will be left for humans to do? The answer, though they won’t admit it, is that we get to be passive consumers sitting around slack jawed staring at screens until we die. That’s the only form of happiness these people can conceive of. It’s all any of us should want, as far as they’re concerned.
They're all so manufactured I can't pick one. Your favorite "underground" band/group would qualify the moment they hit it big.

"On a personal note, as a dad, I find Elon's attitude puzzling. I love my kids, and would do anything to protect them."
You presumably play an active role in raising your kids. Elon has the mating and parenting habits of a brook trout.

Sometimes the mask slips. But sometimes the mask is torn off, thrown on a sacrificial bonfire, and the mask's powdery grey ashes are launched into space.
Here, Elon's done the latter.
His endgame is finally clear: he thinks humanity is nothing more than a 'biological bootloader' for superintelligence. He thinks we are a transient, flawed, disposable bridge towards something much better. And that something -- self-replicating superintelligent agents, not humanity -- will be what colonizes the galaxy.
This endgame makes clear that all the tech bro narratives about the alleged benefits of AI for humanity -- all the 'Abundance', the 'Universal High Income', the 'Fully Automated Luxury Utopia', the cures for cancer, the longevity treatments, all of it -- are just pleasant music to distract and pacify the sheep as we're led to the slaughter. It's all just an accelerationist psyop to lure humanity into obsolescence and then extinction.
There was never any intention for AI to help humanity in the long term. There was every intention that AI would replace humanity -- and probably sooner rather than later.
On a personal note, as a dad, I find Elon's attitude puzzling. I love my kids, and would do anything to protect them. I do not view my kids as a transient, flawed, disposable bridge towards galactic superintelligence.
Elon has lots of kids. Does he really view them as nothing more than 'biological bootloaders'? Where is his paternal love and pride and protectiveness? Where is his loyalty to humanity?
My favorite part about AI is that loving it is right wing and anything across the spectrum of just don't care, questioning, and hating it is communism.
