Last college exploration project of the year! (And for me - forever). I hope students will continue to explore options and find their passion! My passion for teaching began in 4th grade. After 35 years, I’m retiring from my passion. Bittersweet :)
March Madness Spirit week - college logo chalk art day!! @AVID4College @AVIDEasternDiv #manteobravesavid
If you saw students trying to eat their lunch with chopsticks, it was probably due to note-taking practice and application of what was learned. Fun Friday challenge! #manteobravesavid @AVID4College @AVIDEasternDiv
Mock interviews! Seemed to open their eyes and help them understand how to prepare for the real thing!! Thanks so much Mrs. Jester!! @AVID4College @AVIDEasternDiv #manteobravesavid
TRFs are so trying for some students. But eventually they see the benefits!!!! That’s when I smile 😊 @AVID4College @AVIDEasternDiv #manteobravesavid
ECSU aeronautics program field trip! Great info!! Fun times! I want to go back to school now! #mmsavidbraves #ecsurocks @ECSU @AVID4College @AVIDEasternDiv
STEM day in the AVID classroom. Build a chair out of paper and tape. Must hold the most books. Great job!! Even though there might have been a little frustration 🤣 #manteobravesavid @AVID4College @AVIDEasternDiv
Solving mysteries!!! Communication skills needed! Lots of listening and asking questions! #avidfun @AVIDEasternDiv @AVID4College
