I know a lot of people arent gonna view it this way and call me a shill for even SUGGESTING something positive towards Rivals/NetEase with the current morale but hear me out:
This means that this was - plain and simple - a mistake. Not the new status quo.
NetEase is piloting the ship and they are gonna do things they shouldnt. If they REALLY were the ones that pulled the trigger on this it means they wont be bound to keep making the same mistake.... hopefully
That being said, it means they are MORE accountable if they fail to learn from their mistakes
According to Danny Koo, Disney didn't force NetEase to do the "Path to Doomsday" event, NetEase themselves suggested it

This mode was fun, but only the one time playing it and even then it just felt like it was missing something.
IDK maybe if Thanos were replaced with like a gorilla? He could be super smart and from the moon, with a short range toggle Tesla cannon, and a dome shield to counter control skill

Even if this RIDICULOUSLY limited schedule is because of server stress (which it likely is) having such a limited window I believe will breed unbelievably bad morale in the community.
I would have rather seen 18 V Thanos with all day playability (or even just weekends if you want it to feel special) rahter than the 50 V 1 with only *2 FREAKING HOURS* of playability on weekend days

Im not trying to throw shade at OW or even "defend" Rivals here. On first glance this post is incomplete at best and EXTREMELY misleading at worst (and also lowkey shady with the required email/data to see everything they are claiming)

Fortnite, CS, and Valorant were the Top 3.
Why are the fans that play a game nearly everyday so eager to see it "die"?
When did we go from "I hope things improve" to "good riddance" in almost every game, not just Rivals?

How many Marvel Rivals heroes do you consider your "main" ie heroes you play regularly and find genuinely fun and arent heroes you only swap to for countering
