What the heck, this keeps happening! These nonces are dangerous, and always will be dangerous. Yet in the UK I’m more likely to get locked up for using the word nonce!
🚨 LABOUR COUNCILLOR WALKS FREE FROM COURT AFTER POSSESSING THE WORST INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN A Labour Councillor has been given a 12-month suspended sentence for possessing indecent images of children deemed category A considered the worst. Tom Dewey a Labour Councillor for Hackney has avoided jail after admitting possessing indecent images of children. Recorder Jonathan Ashley-Norman handed down a 12-month suspended sentence, he said: Your actions have had a devastating impact on your life and your closest family.” He gave him credit for an early guilty plea He also ordered devices to be forfeited, told Dewey to pay £500 costs and put him on a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which will restrict his contact with children. Thomas Dewey, who was elected as a Labour councillor for De Beauvoir ward, was arrested by detectives from the National Crime Agency who seized laptops and tablets at his home in Hertford Road in Hackney, just days before May’s local elections last year. He had a “huge problem” with looking at indecent images of children from the internet for his own use, Wood Green Crown Court heard. Described by party activists as “ambitious”, he had worked at Hackney Council for nearly two years as a support officer for the Mayor and Cabinet office and for a consultancy advising on planning. He was the branch secretary for the De Beauvoir ward for Labour and had spent years campaigning for the party in Hackney. Last month, the 36-year-old admitted a charge of making five category A indecent images of children, a further charge of making 41 category B indecent images, as well as making 203 category C indecent images of children. Images are graded with category A considered the worst. Dewey, now of Hampshire, also admitted a charge of possessing 78 extreme pornographic images of children – an act which results, or is likely to result, in serious injury to a person and having 1,523 prohibited images of children in his possession. The maximum sentence for the most serious charge is five years, depending on the number of images. Details of the images were not read out in court, but prosecutor Margia Mostafa said the content of the Category A images “are highly serious.” The starting point for the first charge is two years in prison but the steps Dewey has taken, along with his early guilty plea and remorse saw that cut to 12 months, suspended for two years. He received an additional six months for charge two, three months for charge three, six months for charge four, and six months for charge five, all suspended for two years and to run concurrently. Dewey also has to do 150 hours’ community service and 40 days of a “rehabilitation activity”. ,two days before his arrest at home in Hackney where he was “the sole occupant.” The NCA seized two laptops, two tablets and a hard drive and Dewey was arrested and cautioned at 7.03am. They had identified four “CyberTipline” reports which has user ID to a google drive and Dewey had uploaded indecent images of children to his personal account. Dewey was elected as a Labour councillor for the first time in the May 2022 council elections and resigned days later, triggering a by-election last July. Labour, which has a majority on the council, narrowly defeated the Green candidate in the by-election. The charges have caused upset amongst Labour campaigners who were unaware of the arrest until this summer.

An absolute game changer. Split screen fun with BeamNG soft body physics. The sound is so very much compromised to allow as much CPU to the physics engine, but working with restrictions is also very cool. Most people won't get that these days. #gamedev #gameaudio #gamesound
This is your final reminder: ARE YOU READY? 👀 BeamNG.drive launches on #PS5 at $24.99 USD. Disclaimer: Final prices in your region will be shown at launch on 19 October. #teaser #PlayStation #WIP

The uncomfortable truth is that marches are ignored, protests are laughed at and patriots are attacked for simply showing their concern and waving their nations flag. The only thing that I still believe would force a fundamental change of direction, immediately - is a NATIONAL STRIKE. Not violence. Not rioting. Ordinary people simply staying at home and refusing to participate for a couple of days. Think about what would happen if millions of people did it. Last year, I pushed for a National Strike. I advertised it for months and during that period, my social-media analytics showed that I reached over 200 million people. 180 million of those views were in the UK People saw it. People saw me. I often get recognised when I’m out in public so I know that whilst millions watched, only a handful took part. And sadly, that’s the problem. Everyone assumes that no one else would do it, so they don’t do it. But look around the world. Bulgaria. France. Bangladesh. Romania. Spain… In recent years, they have all done exactly what I am suggesting. They all took part in peaceful, mass non-compliance and they all caused their governments to change course, or even step down and call an election. That’s the level of collective pressure I’m talking about. The British people aren’t powerless. We’ve just become too accepting of the abuse. We did it in the 70’s. Britain was brought to a standstill when just 1.2 million public-sector workers joined a single DAY of action, where widespread strikes disrupted transport, rubbish collection and public services. It ended up with Labour being removed and the Conservatives being put in. It DOES work, history proves it. The question is whether enough people would ever be prepared to act together if I tried to advertise it again. One day. Just like in the 1970’s. If we’re feeling brave, maybe even two. THAT would send a real message.

Please consider signing the petition on this. Synthetic folic acid being added to all wheat flours by the end of the year (unless the mill produces less that 500 tons per year). This is not a good thing.
How do you "stand up to cancer" while everything you bake is full of folic acid? Sign petition below:

🚨 SONY, YOU'RE FULL OF SH#T! HERE’S THE PART THAT MAKES THIS WHOLE DIGITAL “PURCHASE” ARGUMENT LOOK RIDICULOUS. If I walk into a store and buy a $1,500 NVIDIA GPU, I pay for it, take it home, install it in my PC, and that graphics card belongs to me. NVIDIA still owns the technology behind it. They own the patents. They own their software. They own their trademarks. But they do not own the GPU sitting inside my house. They cannot come back three years later because I didn’t use my PC enough and say, “Sorry Man, your access to that graphics card has been revoked.” They cannot remotely remove it from my case because their Terms of Service changed. They cannot tell me I misunderstood the words “buy and purchase" I paid for the product. I own the product. So why has gaming somehow convinced itself that paying $70 or $80 tp $100 for a game should mean something completely different? I’m not asking to own Sony’s intellectual property. I’m not asking to own Naughty Dog, Bungie, the source code, the servers, or the PlayStation brand. I am saying the license I paid for should belong to me in perpetuity. That is the digital equivalent of owning the GPU in my PC. Sell me the license. Tie it to my account. Let me download it again. Let me keep using it as long as the software and hardware can run it. But don’t take my money under a button that says BUY or PURCHASE and then hide behind legal language that says I never really bought anything. If the industry wants to sell temporary permission, call it temporary permission. If you call it a purchase, then the consumer should walk away owning something meaningful. That is where this fight needs to go next. Digital isn’t the problem. Ownership is. Kudos to @G27Status for continuing to put these issues in front of gamers and forcing people to actually think about what we are paying for.
