📷 Sharing Turkish Art and Culture with Our Community! 📷 The Turkish Cultural Center of New Jersey recently organized Ebru (Turkish Marbling Art) Workshops at Fort Lee Public Library and St. Joseph's Hospital, bringing the beauty of traditional Turkish art to different communities. Participants had the opportunity to discover this centuries-old art form, learn traditional marbling techniques, and create their own unique artwork to take home. Beyond the artistic experience, these workshops provided a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange, creativity, and meaningful connections. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Fort Lee Public Library and St. Joseph's Hospital for their partnership and hospitality, as well as to our instructors, volunteers, and everyone who participated. Through art and cultural activities, we continue to build bridges of friendship, promote mutual understanding, and strengthen community connections. 📷 For more info please contact us at info@tccnj.org #EbruArt #TurkishMarbling #TurkishCulture #TCCNJ #FortLeePublicLibrary #StJosephsHospital #CulturalExchange #CommunityEngagement #ArtBringsUsTogether

🇺🇸 September 11 – A Day of Remembrance Today, we pause to remember the innocent lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courageous first responders who demonstrated extraordinary bravery on September 11, 2001. As we honor their memory, we also reaffirm our commitment to the values that unite us as a nation—compassion, resilience, and hope. At the Turkish Cultural Center of New Jersey, we strongly condemn all forms of violence, hatred, and extremism. Our mission has always been to promote peace, mutual understanding, respect, and friendship among people of all backgrounds. May we continue to build bridges instead of barriers, choose dialogue over division, and work together to create communities where peace, kindness, and understanding prevail. Today, we remember. We honor. We stand together. #September11 #911Remembrance #HonorAndRemember #Peace #Unity #Community #TurkishCulturalCenterNJ #StrongerTogether #WeRemember

UN Special Rapporteurs are urging Turkey to stop targeting human rights defenders and lawyers under terrorism charges, warning that anti-terror laws are being misused to criminalize legitimate human rights work. Cases cited include individuals prosecuted for providing aid to prisoners, participating in peaceful protests, or carrying out legal defense work, actions protected under international law. The experts stress that such laws must not be used to restrict freedom of expression, association, and peaceful assembly, calling for urgent reform and an end to the criminalization of civil society. #HumanRightsViolations #HizmetMovement #Turkish #Erdogan stockholmcf.org/un-special-r…
