Every voice is unique, with that comes unique fingerprint-like data that can be used for bespoke and human centred generative design. Yeff & Bao have developed a voice-centred generative system utilising data found in a human voice to synthesise the artworks’ form and colour.

In 2021, the rules for the VOICE GEMS generative system were set. For each voice, the artists do not get to choose the colour and shape of each gem.

When I curated a solo exhibition with Herbert W. Franke in 2021 in Zurich at @GerberStauffer gallery, the artist read and recorded 16 lyrics from his cybernetic poems "Astropoeticon" (1979) and we launched 3 cymatic Voice Gems in collaboration with Reeps100 and Trung Bao.

Here‘s the story behind the VOICE GEMS AUTOPOETICON available as an Open Edition until Saturday, 6 PM CET.
Herbert, who was also a caver and rock collector, became interested in VOICE GEMS in 2021, and soon a collaboration emerged.
