The coaching search is going to be a circus with our fans. Most people haven’t figured out it’s much different than 10-20 years ago. There are no home run hires. You don’t need a sexy name. Too many people are stuck on that and are going to create division when someone is hired..

@grok dumb this down for Miami fans, it’s way to complex of a post for them to read.

Not a defense of Mike. He should be fired. In fact I think this is an indictment. FSU finally played hard for 4 quarters and result was so drastic that people think Miami played their C- game. They did not. Miami is better but FSU benefited from field position and playing hard

Unbelievably condescending. Yes Miami is a better team and have recruited better. But that was not their C- game. And FSU had a lot to do with how Miami looked.
My FSU thoughts on last night in Miami on @Cover3Podcast Bottom line: you played your A game, your rival played their C- game, and you lost because their C- is as good as your A because you suck at recruiting and developing players. Simple. Also hotseat thoughts.

This is pretty much what I meant but in much more detail and Miami fans are all in my mentions about a response I had to Bud. FSU fans are pretty soft on this app but a lot of you Miami fans getting mad at me are giving them a run for their money. xitter.cf/btrembly/status/211202…
Time to face reality for my fellow Canes fans. Many things can be true at once, and this is what I belive to be true. - Any win is a good win. We used to play our best against FSU and still lose, like in the Kaaya years. But now, the talent gap is so wide, we can play mediocre and win. - We are a good team. - We are not a great team. - Good may be good enough to win it all this year, because no team is clearly better than the rest. NIL has greatly spread the playing field and parity is among us. Whoever gets hot and lucky in December will win. - Because we can stop the run, we should be in every game, outside of just weird circumstances, which can happen. - We’re nowhere near as good as last year on the o-line. Everyone wants to complain when we don’t score 50, but we can’t really pound people in the 4th. We did against Clemson, we didn’t against Wake, we kinda sorta did against FSU. Cam Ward used to camp out behind the line. Mensah gets pressured, a lot. - Mensah doesn’t have the strongest arm. He should come back next year. Won’t help his arm strength per se, but it will help his development. - The losses against UL and SMU (garbage) ended up being good for us in ‘25. We played like we had everything to lose the last four games, crushed everyone, and rolled with that momentum right into the national title game. - I don’t WANT to lose any games, but we will. We will not be undefeated this year. That loss will suck, but it will be good for us. This team needs to hit the playoffs hungry and like they have everything to lose. - Bottom line, Mario has us back at #1 for the first time since ‘02, we’re winning big games, bringing in monster recruits, and should have a shot at title runs every year for the foreseeable future. Cannot ask for anything more. #GoCanes 🙌

Couple of things that upset me about this A) it’s not holding. He chops his arm down and he lost his balance B) this is very important. Holding is only supposed to be called if it could effect the play. The DE is double teamed and the ball is gone at the time of the “holding”. He’s nowhere near the QB. Just an all time bad call. It’s an official looking to be part of the game.
This was the holding call that brought back FSU's miracle catch in the end zone... Did they make the right call?

Miami fans - this statement was not a dig smh. FSU simply competed for 4 quarters for a change and took advantage of some key situations early, which dictated the flow. Miami did not play to their capabilities for sure. But to say it was a C- game is simply disingenuous.

A lot of responses pointing to Miami doing a few stupid things that FSU also did to illustrate how it was a C- game for Miami but A+ for FSU. Can’t be both if they both did the same stupid things.
“Miami played a C- game” Ok sure boss. Let’s take a deeper look shall we. Oh and also Miami penalty yards per game on the season? 60.5 This game? 68

I made a statement to Bud that Miami didn’t play a C- game. Miami fans are bothered by the compliment. Unreal

Brother if anyone is trying to make themselves feel better about their team, it’s Miami fans lol You’re a better team but there are some deficiencies. Pretty much like every other top 10 team. FSU fans have no misconceptions about who we are.

False. But think whatever will make you feel better about your team.

Well, then they played a C game all season. Miami is yours per play on average for the season is 8.11. It was 7.5 vs FSU. Defense yards per play for the season 4.73. 6.9 vs FSU. Against Wake 6.8/6.3 Clemson 6.8/4.7 FSU’s O has been much better than Clemson

Apparently the team with the higher success rate (7.5 ypp to 6.9 ypp), who won the turn over margin (2-1) and needed two blown calls to keep FSU from a 2 point conversion (which they would have likely not succeeded) played like crap. Because the point spread told us so

Here’s Miami playing “C- and FSU playing A+” Yeh right. Actually here’s Miami playing A+ and FSU watching the game. Plenty other examples, too.

He used his right arm to chop the defender’s left arm which is what sent him to the ground. Pretty standard technique and legal.
The Florida St offensive holding call was not a foul. The contact by the BYU defender was defensive pass interference.

I was wrong about this. Didn’t expect to be so emotionally invested in the game and it got me flustered. But the decision to go for it both times put us in position to get 7 points.
FSU wins the game if Norvell just kicks a field goal on one of those two 4th downs. I was ok with the first one. Miami’s poor field position put us in a good spot to get those first 7 points. But the second decision was absurd. Points were clearly at premium at that point

How is that not joint possession? Doesn’t Duce Robinson have both hands on the ball while it’s in the midsection of a Miami player? ACC replay booth didn’t appear to even consider it.

No flag on the field. It was clearly thrown after the catch was made.
IT’S COMING BACK FOR AN OFFENSIVE PENALTY NO WAY

This was deemed a holding penalty on Florida State’s first 4th down touchdown. Absolute disgrace to the sport. xitter.cf/TonyCMKE/status/211165…
