Louisville, I need my Cardinal family. 🙏
16 years at UofL: poli sci professor, chair, associate dean of A&S. In 2021 UofL gave me its top faculty honor, the Trustees Award.
This year the university where I was Dean pushed me out for protecting young women from a harasser. 🧵
Old enough to remember when Pres. Trump promised $2,000 in tariff refund checks to working people who are facing inflation due to corporate price-gouging… only to give the tariff refund checks to corporations instead.
Trump and other MAGA Republicans are afraid of Black and brown workers uniting in the midterm elections, on top of enhanced voter suppression, this is another way to distract hard working folks with more empty promises.
This is like someone robbing your house and then selling you back your TV. Working people remember the promises of stimulus checks that were never received and are voting for pro-worker candidates instead!
"Here is my promise, if the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the U.S Senate, both of them...because of our tremendous strength and success economically I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000."
14 years after MJ was drafted MJ retired because Pippen wasn't gonna be on the team anymore
14 years after LeBron was drafted, kyrie left the cavs and LeBron willed the cavs to the finals, then signed with a team who had 5 straight losing seasons
One of these guys are painted as running from the grind, you'll never guess which
MJ in 1999 if he was soft like LeBron.

Shout out to my brother, Jaime, and big sis, Minyon Moore, on a job well done here. Black voters have always over delivered election after election. And THE SOUTH GOT SOMETHING TO SAY!
What a moment.
South Carolina will remain First in the Nation, and we’ll once again kick off the Democratic presidential nominating process.
I’m also excited about the incredible diversity of voices in the early window: South Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Michigan, and Virginia. Together, these states better reflect the strength, diversity, and future of our party and our country.
Now, let’s get to work winning elections.

Reminder that when Trump won in 2016, Obama was in the White House.
When Trump lost in 2020, he was in the White House.....
So he rigged the election against himself?

The president is scared of your power, and he wants you to believe your vote does not matter.
He wants you to lose confidence in our electoral system so you stay home this November. He knows how discontent the American people are, and he wants to make sure that you do not vote.
Because if the people vote in their numbers, Republicans will lose.

An alarming number of Black people in the U.S. have died under suspicious circumstances since the second Trump admin. Many deaths have been initially categorized as suicides. Others are police-involved fatalities, alleged medical neglect in detention facilities or disappearances.

This is what happens when the Supreme Court fails to issue a unanimous win in favor of the plain text of the Constitution. A 9-0 decision upholding birthright citizenship would have firmly discouraged this threatened waste of judicial resources.

Mitch McConnell blocked a SCOTUS nominee for 293 days citing election year norms, then confirmed his own nominee in 8 days during an election with voting already underway.
If Democrats refuse confirmations for the next 2 yrs, they would be following his rules, not breaking one.

And somehow the federal minimum wage is still at $7.25… SINCE 2009! That’s $15,080 a year BEFORE taxes IF we work 40 hours a week! That math just isn’t mathing for working people across the country!
