Small update on the island 🏝️ T1K0 moves more naturally and pays closer attention to what’s around him. The sea now stretches all the way to the horizon, and nature on the island follows its own rhythm from dusk to dawn. Plus a handful of smaller fixes to the stream.

The big update is live on the island. 🏝️ 🌳 New trees, four species: pine, birch, oak, and wind-bent coastal trees by the shore, young and old, from 2 to 5 m tall. T1K0 now drives under their crowns, and they sway in the wind. 🌿 Grass across the whole island: it moves with the wind and bends under his wheels. Some of it even blooms. The forest is lighter now too, so you can actually see T1K0 between the trunks. 🫐 Bushes at the forest edges: small round ones, some with red berries, and bigger ones. T1K0 drives around them. 🛞 Wheel tracks: he leaves trails in the grass, and they slowly fade over two of his days. 🌊 New water: turquoise shallows fading into deep blue, foam along the shore and wet sand. Do you like mosquitoes? Yeah, us neither. 🦟 We figured T1K0 probably wouldn’t like them either, so he’s getting fireflies and butterflies instead. ✨🦋 What he doesn’t know yet: they’ll fly away from him. 😅 Hopefully he won’t try to catch them, because if he gets fixated on that, we’ll end up with a robot chasing bugs around the island all day. Few hrs left to get update done.

Optimizing the GPU is turning out to be much harder than we expected. We need the island to render smoothly while T1K0 stays responsive, and getting both at once is tricky. Because of that, the update is running a bit late. We expect to finish rolling out all the changes within the next 24 hours.
