Theodora in Romania , completely mad . 7000 yards off yellows with a slope of 120! It has an 800 yard par 6 to finish with a 200 yard carry to an island green !

Balaton GC in Hungary, totally bonkers course literally a roller coaster of a ride.

Zala springs in Hungary . Big open grip it and rip it course. Not my favourite IMO

Penati Heritage course , without doubt one of the best layouts I’ve played in a long time, wanted to go straight out again . IMO Top 20 in Europe

Penati legend course . In Slovakia . Another roasting hot 36 day . Thank god the beer is good and cold

PGA national in Prague on another roasting hot day IMO didn’t live up to the hype

Berlin Wannsee on another roasting hot day , Peter allis learned to play golf here as his dad was the pro for over 20 years . Oldest course in Germany

Koln gc on another roasting day, which meant no one else on the course . Number 1100 today so another milestone

Elmpter wald .just inside Germany but on a disused raf base . Still have all the security here . Hard to find but great fun . Read the backstory if you can

Hoge Kleij in Utrecht. So surprised how good this was . Felt like playing golf back home

TPC river highlands . Home of the travellers . Slight drizzle, so we were the only ones playing ! To have a course of this quality and literally be the only ones playing all day is baffling , but a great experience

Cape cod national , stunning private course in the wonderful. Cape. Cod , 9.30 am , first out and virtually no one around , felt very special . Living the dream!

Miacomet on Nantucket Island , cold and windy . But a proper links course

Farm neck on Martha’s Vineyard. You know when you are playing a good golf course when you find out this is barrack obamas favourite course when he stays at his holiday home here !

Rancho charvanee . Another bat shit crazy course with roads crossing reservoirs and even a runway 40 yards off the 12 th green

Sir James gc named after the ambassador in the 70s problem is it still feels like 1975 playing here I’m sure the bay city rollers are number 1 still
