A definition of antisemitism in which Israel is mentioned in 7 of the 11 examples is not about antisemitism. It is about Israel. Specifically, it is about protecting Israel from criticism of its monsterous crimes.
Thoughts on IHRA. A working definition. Open to exploitation from those who claim it stifles legitimate criticism of Israel. And similarly by those who try to argue any criticism of Israel is antisemitism. But a perfect academic tool to help students explore, and gain a deeper understanding of what antisemitism is, and what it isn’t.
