I used vanilla emacs when I started with it 15 years ago. Then I announced init.el bankruptcy and used Spacemacs for a long time. The time has come to go back to vanilla though! I am following awesome @SystemCrafters videos and I think I will make it through this time :D

Today I finished the Emacs from Scratch series. Thanks @SystemCrafters for this whole series, without it my setup wouldn't be so good and I wouldn't have enough to understand and solve things.

Got tired of writing queries for #emacs mu4e using strings. It's uncouth and un-lisp-like.
Thus, mu4e-query, that lets you write queries using s-expressions:

Impressive, @SystemCrafters has videos for a ton of the technologies I strongly recommend and they seem well produced: Guix, Emacs, org-mode, etc.
I'm glad someone's out there doing that! These are great!

The real deal, David Wilson's @SystemCrafters youtube.com/c/systemcrafters. The Emacs from Scratch series is just perfect and has excellent org mode coverage (EfS 6)

📦 You know 'guix refresh', the tool to update a package definition to its latest version?
What if it could update to any version, not just the latest?

Check out my little #emacs hack. It's an Emacs version of the command line tool #fzf.
You pipe stuff from your shell into `ezf' (emacs fuzzy finder) and you can use Helm/your completion framework of choice to filter and select matches before sending them 'back' to the shell.
