"I’m not trying to be humble, these chairs are just really uncomfortable!" A viral video of a candid and humorous moment of President Ahmed Al-Sharaa in New York insisting on sitting on the same chair as the Syrian diaspora during their meeting.

Thousands of Christian families are returning home to Syria. One sign of that return: the Holy Land schools in Qunaya and Yaqubiya have reopened after nearly 60 years of closure under Baathist rule. Families are returning. Schools are reopening. Christian communities are rebuilding their future in Syria. 🇸🇾

Let’s be clear: Syria has not banned pro-Palestine protests. The Palestinian cause remains deeply rooted in Syria and among the Syrian people. Our support for the rights, dignity, and freedom of the Palestinian people remains unwavering. 🇸🇾🇵🇸 Turning general rules for public gatherings into a “ban on pro-Palestine protests” is simply false.

The internet after watching Syria’s Health Minister shoot: “Hitman.” “ISIS.” “Definitely done this before.” Reality: He left Syria for Germany in 2014, completed his neurosurgery training there, worked in German hospitals, and returned to the new Syria after liberation. Turns out surgeons have steady hands. Who knew? 🎯

Syrian-German relations are on the rise. 🇸🇾🇩🇪 The impact of sanctions relief is becoming increasingly clear. Germany's implementation agencies for technical and financial cooperation, GIZ and KfW, have returned to Damascus after 14 years, and the German House has officially opened its doors. Major German companies are entering the Syrian market: an agreement was previously signed with Siemens Energy, and another agreement with a leading German company in its field is expected to be signed soon.

Just to clarify, the passports shown in the post are the old versions issued by the Assad regime back in 2023. No newly designed Syrian passports have been released yet. The previous regime engaged in numerous unethical practices, including flagrant copyright and design theft. That said, the new official Syrian passports, which will feature the country's post-liberation visual identity, are scheduled for release soon. What you're seeing right now is simply the older design. The current Syrian government is temporarily continuing to issue it to avoid paralyzing daily life and business while the finalized passports are prepared for rollout.
Syria's government allegedly stole a photo without credit for their passport, but they didn't notice his watermark before printing them. Now Waseem Asmar's name is all over many in-service Syrian passports.

The Syrian biometric passport design with the Waseem Asmar Photography watermark dates to the 2023 edition under the prior Assad regime; such passports remain in circulation today. kurdistan24.net/ar/story/935768 turkiyegazetesi.com.tr/dunya/milyonla…
