At Glastonbury yesterday, a band called for βinshallah, from the river to the sea.β The crowd cheered. When I hear that phrase chanted with joy, I feel fear and - whoever you are - so should you.
Most people donβt understand what it means. But itβs been used for decades by those who want to erase Jews from where their language, faith & indigenous culture began. A place that was meant to offer refuge when the rest of the world shut its door.
Iβve spoken out against injustice & unbearable loss. Iβve made work about the βNakbaβ & the ongoing trauma of Palestinians.
But βfrom the river to the seaβ doesnβt call for peace.
It calls for a world without Jews. You can stand for Palestinian rights without denying Jewish ones. You can oppose a government without wishing away a people. If your activism leaves no room for someone elseβs safety, grief or history itβs not activism. Itβs hate.

Letβs clarify this deliberate cold exposure thing once and for all. There is so much nonsense out there about cold and fear of cold, etc. Itβs pretty simple when you look at it through the lens of the hormones and neural circuits involved. It also makes clear how to do it right.

Donald Trump and JD Vance didn't show strength today -- they showed weakness.
They belittled a giant and showed just how small they are.
They have the most vaunted titles in the world: President and Vice President of The United States of America. But the title doesn't make the man. And today both men brought shame to their titles.
A weary warrior was before them. A beleaguered man who has lost thousands of his friends and comrades to the unjust and illegal aggression of an authoritarian leader.
They showed no grace; no magnanimity of spirit; no diplomatic acumen. They were small bullies with big titles and they disrespected the history and legacy of the nation they lead.
Today, Donald Trump acted more like Russia's Putin than America's President.

In the late 1950s Arvid Carlsson discovered that dopamine is a neurotransmitter and that Parkinson's disease is caused by a lack of dopamine. His work contributed to a new generation of antidepressant drugs.
