I know that little guy!! He may only be five years old, but he did a great job in his freestyle and backstroke yesterday. Proud daddy here!
I wish I could share more of my videos and stories on this platform, but I can’t post them because they are just a little bit too long for Twitter. Check me out on Instagram at @swim_jkap and I’ll keep trying to post stuff on here when it fits!
When you coach a long time, you’re good at dodging water 💦 splashes instinctually…..until you’re not. 😂
Be the thermostat…not the thermometer! Don’t just go with the flow on what your teammates think….you set the tone for your team and training environment!
Still the most effective way to get swimmers into the water 💦 😂 @swimswamnews
Nervousness is just energy! Use it for good! (You can check me out on the same handle on IG for a more fun edited version of this video)
So pumped for Carter!! She loves her some cold weather 😂 You will do amazing things at Colby and I can’t wait to see just how awesome you get over the years!
It comes with great pleasure that we share the exciting news of @SwimRVA Senior, Carter Meagher, as she has now committed to attend and swim for Colby University this fall!! This beautiful school in Maine will be getting a RISING 🌟 STAR and an even more wonderful person!
Thanks to the super talented Brandon Hendrickson for capturing this moment on deck at ISCA Senior Cup in St Pete!
Whatever you do throughout your time as a coach, it is of the utmost importance that you remain as serious as possible at all times! 😀🌴🏝
This is big time folks!! You cannot discuss the Rise of the Rapids without recognizing the meteoric Rise of Elliott!! Thank you for being such an inspirational athlete for all swimmers and coaches alike. Keep Rising at Rider!!
COLLEGE ANNOUNCEMENT!! @SwimRVA is proud to announce that Futures qualifier & team record holder, Elliott Kassab, has committed to sign/swim for and attend Rider University this fall! They will be thrilled to have you! We know you’ll make an awesome Bronc. Congrats Elliott!
This is so cool and exciting! Way to go Tripp! Full disclosure, I had to look up what a Yeoman or Yeowoman was….I feel educated now. 😃
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Class of 2023 graduating @SwimRVA senior, Tripp Hawkins, who will be attending and swimming for Oberlin College in the fall!! She will be a Yeowoman and they will be so lucky to have her.…..trust us, we know exactly how awesome Tripp is!! 😊
From 216 points in 2022 (previous record) to 335 points points in 2023 after losing over 75% of our team points and 50% qualifiers to mostly graduation. 👀 🤯 The RISE CONTINUES! (Wait till next year!) #RowdyRapids
Hidden gem past the soccer fields at @SwimRVA. Perfect way to recharge in between prelims and finals on a beautiful day!
You’re never as tired as you think you are! Time to access that treasure box full of energy that you’ve worked so hard to create all season long.
A team record 12 swimmers in 15 individual races and 3 relays for Senior Champs Finals!! That’s a lot of highlighter folks! I continue to be so impressive with this rising team! Keep Rising @SwimRVA_Rapids #RowdyRapids
We are simply having too much fun at the Saturday morning combo practice for our Age Group, Junior, Pre-Senior, Senior workout at @SwimRVA-Meadowbrook! Racing a college style mini-meet where each team has athletes from each group. Getting fast and having a blast!
