In order to be able 2 think you have to risk being offensive.
Overall, this statement reflects the tension between the value of open, critical thinking and the potential social risks associated with it. Hence, ppl tell you do not offend others is basically telling u to not think.

Maybe you're just a condescending ass.
Responses like such mean one of two things.... You're actually funny, or they're lost for any more rebuttal.
Alabama lawmakers love addressing things in other states but neglecting things in their own state like prisons, schools, and it's failure to represent their constituents.

Before Alabama killed Casey McWhorter last night, he said he loved his family & expressed remorse to his victim's family. He also said of his executioner, "It's not lost on me that a habitual abuser of women is carrying out this procedure." #DeathPenalty

If the US is serious about ending the housing crisis, it will dismantle the revolving door between incarceration and homelessness.
It's time to put housing first instead of criminalizing vulnerable people for not having access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.

ALT Graphic that says: Formerly incarcerated people are 10x more likely to experience homelessness than the general population. Homelessness also makes formerly incarcerated people more likely to be arrested & incarcerated again. The increasing criminalization of homelessness does not create safer communities - instead, it creates a revolving door that traps some of the most vulnerable people inside the carceral system.
