These characters will sell no merch, they will by cosplayed by less than 0.0001% of the entire gaming fandom, they will sell no figures, they won't be worn on t-shirts, they won't continue to be talked about once the game fades out of the spotlight, they won't appear on anyone's list of favorites or "iconic" characters, they won't inspire V-Tuber models or large groups of fan artists. As always, once the spotlight on the game fades they too will fade into obscurity. And every single person, every straight dude who is doing their performative social optics with their quirky posts showing female video game characters beating up a dude, fantasizing violence against Asmongold, and morally grandstanding about misogyny... are among that crowd that won't be buying any merch, nor making any fan art, nor talking about how cool these characters are in 1 or 2 years. Because even though they're optics obsessed diplomats who carefully curate their public image and would therefore never *say* what Asmongold is saying, we all know what they *really* think, what they *actually* like, and where they put their money when push comes to shove. It's performative social optics, plain and simple, and people who live in glass houses should not lecture others about morality and subjects like misogyny. Simply put, no one really cares anymore... your labels have no weight and no power.
