I built an app called Enact while working on SWELL. It's based on some of the ideas I've been writing about.
It's free to use.
If you want to try it, here's the link:

20 years ago today was my first date with my wife. She's inspired by my sense of adventure. I'm grateful she documents our life through obsessive photography.
We're not always each other's favorite people. But together we made something neither of us could have alone.
First a sketch. Then background colors, layers, texture. Then the final details.
Only when it's hung on the wall can you fully see what it is.
The highway was a parking lot.
It felt like we didn't move for hours.
Infuriating.
Thankfully, I only ended up being 5 minutes late.
If you collected all the hair you've ever had cut, and piled it in one place, I bet it would take up more space than you do now.
The instinct that tells you to duck when someone throws a rock is the same one telling you to act like you know what you're doing.
Cook something you have no business making.
Walk into a store you'd normally never enter.
Take a dance class as a total beginner.
None of it matters if it doesn't work out.
That's the whole point.
When you can name it, you can work with it.
Language changes leverage.

Love this, Nate! That ‘stuck but can’t quite name it’ feeling is so real. Just took the Baseline Builder, super quick and the snapshot actually gave me some clear language for what’s been holding me back. The insights hit different. Thanks for making it free
My 4 year old niece guessed that I was seventeen years old. When I told her I was a little older than that, she guessed eighteen. No hesitation.
Jealous.
The first person out the door in the morning is bound to get some cobwebs in the face. The spiders won't mind if you sleep in.
I thought if I could make my lawn smaller, I’d spend less time mowing. Now all I do is spread mulch and pull weeds.
It's such a thrill ripping downhill on my bike.
Then I think about what it would look like if I wiped out and my fingers jump to the brakes.
