Over the past decade, I've met with dozens of men in failing marriages. If you want to be happy in a marriage that lasts, here's what you need to know:

One of my favorite things as a father is watching things “click” for my kids. My 4 year old daughter figured out skiing today. 😎 Good form overall! She might just take on a blue before the season is over. 🤩

Got a nice feature by Morning Brew’s Alex Lieberman (@businessbarista)! Not a bad pitch for just 60 seconds. 😎😏 Proud of my team at @SweaterVentures.
This startup is trying to make Venture Capital less condescending. Time to rate their pitch 1 to 10. Let’s go.

$1,000,000,000,000 in processed payments. I’m sure that’s a reasonable number in the payment processing world. Still impressive to have achieved that in 12 years. #startups #stripe #venturecapital

The founder in me can’t help but agree.
VCs thoughts on valuation: 2012: valuations are too high! 2018: valuations are way too high! 2021: valuations are ridiculously too high! 2023: valuations are still way too high!

✅ It’s all staged in the Bahamas. ✅ You drive around an Accord collecting Bitcoin by running people over ✅ They should replace the politicians with Tom Brady and Jim Cramer. ✅ You advance in the game by creating shell corporations and making “investments”.

✅ There are bonus levels where you get to be interviewed by the press to virtue signal. The highest bonus level you’re in front of congress. ✅ When you win the game, it shows your avatar on the cover of Time Magazine. What else should you be able to do in the game?

I am an immigrant from communist Soviet Union. Started with $0. Didn't complain, made countless mistakes, hustled for 15 years straight, and built 5 companies that generated $500M+. The American Dream is alive if you internalize these 11 principles:

This entire thread. This is the finance behind the last decade of twitter and its implications for Musk moving forward.
Twitter departed the world of public companies just shy of its 9th birthday. To the question of who won and who lost, the answer should be obvious. From a start of $45 on 11/7/13 to Elon's buy this week at $54.20, the shareholder made 20.4%. That's cumulative. 2.1% per year. 1/

Hey @GrahamStephan we’re in Vegas today launching @SweaterVentures, bringing VC to the public. It would make a great episode for the Iced Coffee Hour podcast while we’re in town today. I’m sure @Spacestation would be stoked.

Remember this interview @andrewrsorkin? This clip is where former Chairman Clayton stated he wished there were "some kind of fund structure" to allow retail investors in private markets. Well, @SweaterVentures pulled it off. Ask Jacqueline about us. youtube.com/watch?v=psXTQuu3…

I framed the first investor check we got for Sweater. It hangs on my office wall. We built for 3 years before this check came in. That was a long 3 years. It reminds me that perseverance + smarts yield success. When you believe in something, don’t give up. #founders #startups #vc

When you get to a VC, you have 1 chance to leave a mark. This sets the tone for the actual meeting. 1- Respond quickly 2- Be concise 3- Make sure they have your pitch deck 4- Keep that deck to 10-15 slides 5- YOU send the meeting invite Most founders mess up this 1st impression.
Sweater believes the VC community shapes the future, but the RIGHT to shape the future belongs to everyone. VC has been controlled by a very small segment of society, so THEY hold the keys. When all of us are involved with our money, we bring our influence to the table as well.

I ran across these 10 steps I gave to Ben Wright sometime last year. He asked how to take his idea and turn it into reality. As with most things, ten step processes don’t apply in every circumstance. But these ones are pretty good, especially on your…lnkd.in/gGjXMR29

We’ve discovered this is a very typical path of discovery. Multi-channel, and multi-touch acquisition strategies are important. Beware of single channel advocates, or only getting single exposure in general. Most people need multiple brand exposures b…lnkd.in/gaBi273D
