The Prime Minister has today asked to be discharged from office. The Speaker of the Riksdag has therefore discharged the Prime Minister and the other ministers of their duties. They will, however, remain in their posts until a new government is in place. The Government is thus a caretaker government.

Minister @grlicradman attended the working breakfast with Heads of Mission of EU Member States in Croatia, marking the beginning of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the EU.
He expressed Croatia's support for the Presidency's priorities, highlighting the importance of strengthening Europe's competitiveness and security, preserving EU unity and reinforcing Europe's defence and energy resilience.
The Minister also reiterated Croatia's strong support for a merit-based EU enlargement process, underlining the European perspective of the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova.
He stressed that Ireland can count on Croatia as a constructive and reliable partner throughout its Presidency. 🇭🇷🇪🇺🇮🇪

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard and Minister for Defence Pål Jonson are now in Ankara for the NATO Summit.
Earlier this year, Sweden hosted the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Helsingborg, just two years after joining the Alliance.
This was an opportunity for Sweden to show that through its NATO membership it has found its rightful home – and an opportunity for NATO to visit Sweden at home.
The meeting in Helsingborg also set the tone for the NATO Summit in Ankara on 7–8 July.
The agenda for the Summit includes the Allied countries’ commitments for a stronger NATO, a stronger defence industry and continued support to Ukraine.
Sweden is taking its responsibility. We are making the necessary investments to build a stronger Europe and a stronger NATO together with other Allies.

Održali smo redoviti radni susret s veleposlanicima država članica EU-a u 🇭🇷, organiziranom u povodu @CY2026EU.
➡️Razmotrili smo aktualne političke i gospodarske teme na europskoj i globalnoj razini, uključujući jačanje konkurentnosti 🇪🇺 gospodarstva, energetsku sigurnost, ublažavanje posljedica krize uzrokovane ratovima u #Ukraine i na Bliskom istoku te stanje na jugoistoku Europe.
➡️Uspješan summit i poslovni forum @3seaseu u Dubrovniku potvrdili su stratešku važnost jačanja povezivosti u smjeru sjever–jug. Najavio sam i summit skupine #MED9 u Splitu.
➡️Ususret općim izborima u Bosni i Hercegovini u listopadu, naglasio sam važnost poštivanja jednakopravnosti i legitimne zastupljenosti triju konstitutivnih naroda u Predsjedništvu i drugim institucijama 🇧🇦.
➡️Povoljan makroekonomski i fiskalni položaj Hrvatske potvrđuju stabilan gospodarski rast, investicijski kreditni rejting 🅰️ razine, kao i napredak Hrvatske u procesu pristupanja @OECD. Nastavljamo provoditi mjere @VladaRH za zaštitu građana i gospodarstva od inflatornih pritisaka, uz očuvanje fiskalne stabilnosti i konkurentnosti.
➡️Osvrnuli smo se i na 1,7 milijardi € vrijedan zajam iz Instrumenta #SAFE, koji omogućuje snažan iskorak u modernizaciji #HV te daljnje jačanje nacionalnih i europskih obrambenih sposobnosti u aktualnim geopolitičkim okolnostima.

Together, we will reaffirm our support for Ukraine, honour the victims of Bucha, and send a clear message: Russia must be held responsible for its war crimes — accountability is essential for a just and lasting peace.
As we work towards peace, we must also support those defending it. With @MariaStenergard, we are promoting stronger 🇪🇺 coordination on support for Ukrainian war veterans. At the initiative of 🇭🇷 and 🇸🇪, this issue will be high on the agenda in Kyiv, with Ukrainian veterans’ representatives and the Minister for Veterans Affairs.
Building on Croatia’s experience, including the 2025 Split conference, we will continue sharing expertise and strengthening partnerships to support 🇺🇦 veterans.
