This pound had been killing dogs for decades. They’ve had Catholic Mayors, Jewish Mayors and they didn’t give a shit about the pound pups or cats. Giuliani thought so little of these beings he put NYCACC under the Department of Sanitation.

NYCACC killed Leap Frog, Angelo, Gray and Oakley Kazooie today. Federal law defines a mass murder as the killing in close proximity and time of 3 or more victims by the killer. NYCACC committed a mass murder today when they killed Leap Frog, Angelo, Gray and Oakley Kazooie. Each of these dogs was innocent, healthy, non-vicious and adoptable. In addition to the dogs who lost their life today, NYCACC has issued Kill Commands against 8 other dogs listed in the above collage pix. These dogs are also innocent, healthy, non-vicious and adoptable. NYCACC had no rational basis to kill the dogs they killed today and they likewise have no rational basis to kill any of the 8 dogs that remain under a NYCACC Kill Command order. NYCACC projects itself as a No Kill animal shelter and a benevolent organization. It is in reality a High Kill slaughterhouse of dogs as well as cats. NYCACC needs to initiate an immediate review of its operational policies and procedures so that those policies and procedures can be amended and steps can be identified which will result in a significant reduction in the number of healthy animals killed every week by NYCACC. Such a review if properly conducted and if conducted in good faith can and will result in a very significant reduction in the weekly killing of innocent, healthy and adoptable animals by NYCACC.

A few videos of 3️⃣ pups NYCACC has listed to be killed….Do you see any bad dogs here? And other than 🍒 👁️ do you see any sick unhealthy dogs here? I thought not….NYCACC kills good healthy adoptable dogs every day….They assign asinine behavioral assessments to what consider them sick mentally? The only ones I see who are mentally sick are the behavioralists targeting these pups and the managers who sign their death warrants….

NYCACC needs to stop killing innocent adoptable dogs or close their doors and give the contract to those who care and can

LOOK AT LITTLE VICTOR‼️WAS HE A DANGER TO SOCIETY?? TERMINALLY ILL??? HELL NO‼️BUT HE WAS MURDERERED BY NYCACC TODAY ANYWAY😭🤬NYCACC NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OVER BY PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LIKE ANIMALS & WANT TO HELP, NOT KILL THEM‼️THEY ARE A DISGRACE TO NY & THE US🤬VICTOR MATTERED‼️🌈
I urge everyone to read Moishe’s Mom’s post about Amaru. The post illustrates how broken, heartless and incompetent ACC is as an organization. ACC kills at least 10-15 dogs each week that are, like Amaru, innocent, healthy, non-vicious and adoptable. ACC always attempts to justify its killing of these dogs by claiming they are behaviorally challenged. Amaru’s video disproves the charges leveled against him by ACC. ACC needs to initiate an immediate review of its euthanasia policies and procedures so that far fewer numbers of healthy and adoptable dogs are killed each week by ACC. I am confident that new euthanasia policies and procedures could very quickly result in a very significant reduction in the number of healthy and adoptable dogs killed each week by ACC.
I leave you with Amaru…a 1️⃣0️⃣ month old puppy who lost his life today in the City that never sleeps…the Capital of Strays and Emaciated pups….This gorgeous boy arrived as a stray, was adopted then returned…adoption returns hardly ever recover from the betrayal….He was listed for jumpy up on ACC staff and barking in his kennel….He was a puppy for fuck sake…a baby who was let go stray, ends up in a kill pound, then gets adopted only to be redumped again….
I’m writing so anyone reading who may be considering surrendering their pup, don’t. Most never make it out. Or finicky adopters don’t give them enough time so they return them….Don’t think because they’re a puppy they’ll be safe because this outfit, the ACC of NYC kills puppies often.
I want you to watch Amaru’s video…watch it more than once and tell me did he deserve to have his life snuffed out by callous people who were simply doing a “job” This puppy was full of life and love…he had so much to give a good human….Amaru I wish someone had come for you and I was not writing this….

They brought her back to the shelter after only thirteen minutes of happiness. For entire days, she sat in silence at the back of her cage, her gaze lost in space, wondering what she had done wrong. The narrator, having worked in this animal shelter for eight years, had seen it all, but nothing remained more heartbreaking than the return of an animal everyone thought was finally saved. That day, it was Maya's turn.
Maya had been abandoned by her former owners. She was a beautiful, medium sized, golden Labrador cross, easily recognizable by her soft, slightly asymmetrical ears. In the beginning, she would sit right against the gate, desperately waiting for them to come back for her. Then, as the months passed, the hope in her honey colored eyes slowly extinguished. She laid down at the back of her kennel, completely resigned to her fate.
One morning, after three hundred and sixty five days of waiting, a young couple arrived. They were looking for a calm companion for their apartment. The worker explained Maya's past, specifying that she would need patience, and they assured they understood. When Maya got into their car at 10:15 AM, a fragile glimmer reappeared in her eyes. The worker's heart filled with immense relief.
At 10:27 AM, the phone rang. The young woman's voice was tense: "She is too lively. She is running everywhere, sniffing everything, and she jumped on our sofa. We are not ready." By 10:40 AM, their car was parking in front of the shelter once again. Maya's new life had lasted precisely thirteen minutes.
When the car door opened, the dog stepped out without any resistance. The adopters left quickly, avoiding her eyes. Maya turned toward the shelter worker, her tail wagging hesitantly, carrying that silent, devastating question in her eyes: "What did I do wrong?"
Rather than putting her back in a kennel, the worker settled her in the office on a soft armchair. "You did nothing wrong," they whispered to her. "You ran because you were happy. You jumped on the couch because you wanted to feel at home. That is just being a dog."
Weeks passed. The worker labored every single day with her to slowly restore her shattered confidence. And then, one afternoon, a silver-haired woman named Claire arrived. She said softly: "I am looking for a dog that nobody wants. An animal that needs time, because I, too, am learning to live alone in a large, empty house."
The worker told her Maya's story, her asymmetrical ears, the endless waiting, and those thirteen minutes of broken hope. Claire asked to meet her. When they arrived in front of the kennel, Maya stood up cautiously. She approached the bars, sniffed Claire's extended fingers, and then gently licked them. The emotional connection was immediate, sincere, and absolute.
Three days after their departure, Claire called, her voice trembling with emotion: "Maya is sleeping at the foot of my bed. The first night, she ran everywhere and jumped on the couch. It actually amused me, because I understood she was celebrating her freedom."
Today, two months later, the shelter receives regular pictures of Maya peacefully asleep in a warm sunbeam. Her eyes no longer ask what she did wrong. They simply declare that she is finally, truly home.
𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: True love does not demand immediate perfection; it embraces the joy of freedom. Maya’s story beautifully demonstrates that an animal's vibrant spirit is never a fault, but a celebration of life that only requires the right, patient heart to understand it.

I’m done for the day peeps…even with some good news, the four pups who were killed did me in….Three were NYC pups and one was Harris County Texas…pups spanning the 🇺🇸 but killed for no logical reason….Koba…just a baby was happy and full of life…they stole his shine ✨ Rufferee, a senior boy who had such a love for toys & Stuffies if he saw one while walking, he had to have it…Rockichan, real name Rocky, was said to be loved by his family but they dumped him and moved to Florida and Paloma, a beautiful bereft gentle forlorn girl in Texas killed for “behavior”…yet another lie told by a kill pound to practice BSL through euthanasia….
Every one of these beautiful sentient beings deserved better than us…a species better than us who knows how to treat the most loyal species on the planet 🌎…dogs would never do this to us….
To their humans, I hope you suffer till the end of time for your callous actions…for setting-up these pups to die with no one to hold their paw as they crossed over….Run free sweet ones 🌌 🌈

It's usually Queens who has all these handler issues with dogs. They need to hire new personnel or at least train them how to interact with dogs. No skin was broken but seriously "but they did feel the impact/pain"
I've never seen an organization that goes so far to find faults.

People keep asking why @nycacc is not proactive on placing animals. With large amounts of At Risk Animals who are killed? This is your chance to speak up while the NYCACC slow walk new facilities plus lousy marketing.
They do no reach out for community involvement, Fault finding writeups for homeless animals instead of great positive marketing. Label, list and kill is their mission.
Mentioned before. Las Vegas Nv has three times the amount of intakes (open admission. less residents)
I rest my case. With fewer dogs at NYC, there would be a lot of empty kennels.
Start flooding ACC admin. @[email protected]
@SpeakerMenin & @NYCMayor to open the Bronx facility plus revise their killing mission to positive placement policies.
Why is NYCACC taking lives when elsewhere they are wildly successful?
Las Vegas also fills their page of positive fostering dogs written to place them.

Do remember that NYCACC and the ASPCA work closely together along with Best Friends. Under existing “no kill” qualifications, a pound needs to have a 90% Save Rate. They are allowed to kill for Behavior or Medical. I can’t speak to ASPCA or Best Friends, but NYCACC abuses the kill allowance for behavior & medical. The type of behavior that most would agree with is extreme dangerous or vicious behavior & medical for the incurable illnesses, or extreme suffering like being run over by a truck & the animal is screaming in pain. The NYCACC abuses both determinations. Under Behavior, they’ve killed for: leash biting, lunging, screeching, banging at the kennel door, tossing their food & water bowls around, pancaking, not wanting to return to their kennel, hiding, shaking, shivering, general fear & anxiety and other puppy behaviors fixed with training or working with a behavioralist. As far as medical goes, they kill for allergies, skin conditions, chronic ear infections, pyoderma, growths, lameness, rectal & vaginal prolapses…I could go on and on. They do not fit the definition & reasoning to kill for medical. And let’s not forget their assault on certain breeds, the Bully Breeds, The Pitties/Pibbles/Staffies & occasionally the GSDs, Rotties, Dobies, Mastiffs and all terrified large breeds who don’t fit into their robot 🤖 like vision of a pup or dog.

NYCACC does not have a rational basis to kill any of these dogs. All of these dogs are innocent, healthy, non-malicious and adoptable dogs. Little Senorita Roja only needs a month of good meals and a basic medical exam and she will be just fine.

A day in the life of a shelter Dog 😢….
From across the kennel aisle, his little tail wagged like maybe... just maybe... it was finally his turn too.
But after the family walked out with the other dog, the room went quiet again. He stood there for a second staring at the empty hallway before slowly walking back to his bed with his tail tucked low.
Some shelter dogs stop barking when their heart breaks a little. They just get quiet 🥹💔
