Remember to stay hydrated this weekend & keep a bottle of tap water in the fridge! ☀️ Pop a cover over your paddling pool when not in use to save the water for another day! A simple change like this, means we can all enjoy more this summer. #SouthEastWater 💦#SimpleChanges

An ancient abbey that survived a deadly Viking raid and the destruction of monasteries by King Henry VIII has been given a new lease on life thanks to our churchyard repairs. Minster Abbey sits on the highest point on the island, overlooking the entirety of Minster on Sea.

📷 We have installed three new CCTV cameras in fly-tipping hotspots, in Sheerness and Sittingbourne, to catch illegal waste carriers in the act. The cameras are monitored 24/7 by our CCTV control room, who will help document the evidence the cameras gather.

This forms part of our campaign to tackle waste related crimes, which is being funded by a grant from the governments’ Rural Payments Agency. The funding will also be used to buy additional CCTV cameras, which act as a deterrent to fly-tippers.

There are still a lot of covers to remove so we will be organising more volunteer days - so keep an eye out - but thanks to the hard work today the woodland is looking much better.
