The Memphis Urban & Community Wood Academy wrapped up yesterday and I can honestly say — the 🇺🇸 urban wood movement is alive and well … and ready to advance forward, scale-up, and grow into a diversity of markets. Through collaboration and partnership business owners, companies (large and small), entrepreneurs, non-profits and government organizations are leading with purpose and commitment to advance climate action and social equity by ♻️ urban 🌳🌲🌳.
I’m grateful for the leadership, creativity & purpose that Urban Wood Economy and U.S. Forest Service have invested in the Urban & Community Wood Academy. This mechanism is building community, collaboration and solutions to complex challenges facing all sectors of urban wood.
And I’m excited for the future of Urban Wood Network (UWN) in its to role to support and grow a robust circular urban wood economy from coast to coast across the USA. Over the last year+ our interim UWN Board of Directors has dedicated the time and commitment to creating a non-profit organization to advance this important work …. And in the next few months, we will appoint our new leadership and Board of Directors who will advance us all into the future.
Thank you to everyone who is dedicated to this purposeful work … we have come a long way together and while we will face many challenges as we move forward, I’m confident that we will bring the solutions necessary to grow this purposeful work — Together! – at Memphis, TN

We always knew we were riding towards something big! 🌎✨
Last night we celebrated surpassing our 500 millionth ride with @Nasdaq in Times Square.
That means we’ve:

💨 Prevented 50,000 metric tons of carbon emissions
🛴🚲 Helped our riders travel over 600 million miles
We’re incredibly grateful for all of our riders in the 300+ cities we serve who ride towards a greener future with us every day and for the innovation and resilience of Limers across the globe who made this possible.
