Thank you @BDA_Dietitians - for helping me celebrate Sickle Cell Awareness month and for shining a light on the nutritional implications of SCD, highlighting the Sickle Cell Nutrition Eatwell Guide as a valuable first line tool to improve patients access!
Sickle cell disease has some common nutritional problems, including nutrient deficiencies and risk of malnutrition.

On 22 June 1948, HMT Empire Windrush arrived in Britain, bringing many passengers from the Caribbean, many of whom took up roles in the newly established NHS.
