33,000 people lost healthcare coverage on June 30th in Illinois. It's heartbreaking to see our patients lose access to lifesaving care. They are mothers, fathers, and children who may die without care.
It shouldn't matter if someone is undocumented--healthcare is a human right.

Pennsylvania has now reported 4 measles-associated deaths in 2026, its first measles-associated deaths in 35 years.
One person was just 18, unvaccinated, and died from ADEM, a rare, severe neurological complication.
Measles isn’t “just a rash.” MMR vaccination is 97% effective.

Using marginalized people to recruit other marginalized people & discarding them because they expect diversity, equity, & inclusion to be a real focus in an organization is a form of academic exploitation.
Marginalized people are more than optics, checklists, & convenience.

We’ve had harder times than these.
We’ve overcome much worse.
We’ve thrived under more pressure than this.
And we will again.
In case somebody needed to hear that today.

Racially motivated policies shape who thrives and who suffers.
A new study from @americancancersociety found that young people with cancer who live in historically redlined neighborhoods have a 32% higher risk of dying.
This is the long shadow of structural racism at work.
