This is an amazing story from @NBCNews @TODAYshow that is very well done.
Since 2013, Michael Collarone has donated tens of thousands of white roses to the 9/11 Memorial.
The roses are placed on the name of every victim on their birthday and a photo is sent to the family. "It's my honor and privilege," Collarone says, adding "We never forgot." today.com/news/birthday-rose…
A difficult day. I remember being called out of kindergarten open house to report the story for @FOX29philly. We spent weeks covering the attacks and the aftermath. A day I will #neverforget.
Thanks for highlighting what @CEBAPower and others are doing to power data centers using clean energy.
As the explosive energy demand of AI spurs a fossil fuels revival, renewable energy allies are trying to ensure that massive data centers will be powered by climate-friendly sources, too.

Congrats on these promotions.
Congratulations to Priya Baura and @REnglandDC on their promotion to CEBA’s executive leadership team. Barua has been promoted to vice president of utility partnerships and innovation and England to vice president of government affairs.
We’re look forward to their continued leadership as CEBA works to accelerate low-cost, reliable, carbon emissions-free energy solutions forward.

Amazing programming by @DavidMuir and @ABC on America’s 250th. David has been going all day long.
An important perspective on the need to reform energy policy.
Read @powellrich's new op-ed in @dcexaminer :
“Too often, our energy challenge isn't about what we can build — it's about the policies and regulations that prevent us from building it.”
Restricting generation resources could cost the U.S. $121 BILLION in additional energy costs beginning in 2027 through 2033. It's time to enact technology-neutral permitting reforms that unleash all American energy resources.

📢 NEW CEBA STUDY: Constraining new solar and wind could come at a price: $121.2 BILLION over seven years.
Our analysis modeled baseline and high-load-growth scenarios in which new solar and wind resources were and were not allowed to compete against other generation sources beginning in 2027 through 2033.

On permitting reform:
Let’s not pursue reforms that only fix permitting for pipes and wires, says @SenArmstrong.
Let’s make sure that all the infrastructure we need to meet growing demand is addressed, he tells @powellrich.

“People really need to get loud about this,” he tells @powellrich.
“We have a very, very narrow window of opportunity here to get this done,” he adds.

📰 Big news out of Texas today!
ERCOT just approved a transformative new initiative: a voluntary, market-based Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) system designed to accelerate advanced energy development & economic growth across the state.
EACs are tracking instruments that provide customers with detailed information about where and when their electricity was generated & the resources used to produce it.

⚡️🎉 ERCOT has approved EACs! ‼️
The @ERCOT_ISO Board of Directors just voted unanimously to create a voluntary system of Energy Attribute Certificates, or EACs.
An EAC is a tracking instrument that allows consumers to know, with granular detail, where their electricity is coming from, who produced it, and which resources were used to do so. TEBA proposed the creation of this system last year — we're thrilled to see it come to fruition.
This voluntary program will create vital transparency on the Texas power grid, and it works for every form of generation. EACs also will make it much easier for customers to support new technologies, helping unleash a new wave of innovative projects that will help meet the state’s growing energy needs.
“EAC’s will provide a mechanism to supercharge the growth of advanced energy technologies on the grid — including new nuclear resources, demand flexibility, carbon capture projects, higher-impact battery storage, and other energy solutions — by providing transparent information about the energy those resources create,” said @baker_bryn, TEBA’s state director.
