Any of my DFW SEO friends still lurking around here? Have an agency I want to ask about for a friend, off the record.
Currently stuck in a password loop and am locked out of my Meta account.
This is fun.
If anyone has advice or a contact, I’d be super grateful.
I’ve always been an independent, so I have no dog in political party infighting.
But it’s truly mind-blowing to me the side who vehemently preaches 2A rights is now “well, but…” over Alex Pretti.
He followed every rule 2A folks claim responsible gun owners do.
I finally started launching a line I’ve worked on for months and months and months.
It has so may scents, it’ll take a full year to drop them out every month.
Surreal to see it exist, finally.
Twice in the last month, 2 people eached out LinkedIn with the ol’ “hey! I see we are both connected to such and such,!”
They each referred to a different person, neither of whom I had a good experience with.
I simply didn’t reply, but whew, landmine outreach tactic, folks.
I made my plans and forecasting for 2026 on the candle biz.
Purely driven by what the data is telling me.
Still scary as hell.
And I can’t wait to see what it does.
Oh you know, just wrapping up the holiday season, minding your business when you get a DM from a reporter who was gifted one of your candles and wants to interview you live.
Totally normal day.
Me: I will not buy anymore shirts at horror cons.
Also me, not even 24 hours ago:
Yep, you’re coming home with me.
I made some gothic-leaning foaming sugar scrubs to test them out at a HorrorCon next weekend.
Already sold my first one to a customer who saw them in an IG Story, Good sign!
I might start dabbling in ads for the candle business next year.
My 2 most distinct niches are bookish and horror/gothic.
I know better than to blindly try and market something I’m too personally invested in.
Open to suggestions on creative, because I trust most of you 😏
No one talks about how @publix has the BEST cookies and cream ice cream, ever.
Just did a Christmas show, and sold 53% more than last year.
Shows are compounding interest if you keep showing up to loyal crowds. I get hugs from my regulars and a new batch of people always find me.
It’s the slower way to grow, but it’s priceless.
First round of jars came to join the wax brethren.
Another round will join in about 2 weeks, I estimate.
Ok, Q4. Let’s do this.
(Not pictured: 2 cases already poured and one in the back ready to melt down.)
Anyone wanna learn how to label things? 😬
