In my latest paper published in Quality & Quantity, I examine recruitment to a university-managed volunteer online panel and the impact of post-survey weighting (particularly the choice and combination of raking covariates) on sample representativeness. doi.org/10.1007/s11135-025-0…
Our paper with PJ Lavrakas is now out in the International Journal of Market Research. We examine motivations & barriers to questionnaire completion in a nonprobability online panel, and identify five distinct psychographic profiles of panellists. More at doi.org/10.1177/147078532513…

Seriousness aside, "Understanding Australia" sounds more like a hybrid between @SRCentreAUS's Life in Australia (we used data from this online panel) and Understanding Society longitudinal survey (@usociety). I do like this blended name for a future study in Australia, though.🙂
Just published in Survey Practice! An experiment in the Understanding Australia survey shows how researchers can maximize the representativeness of panel surveys, without spending a fortune to continually recruit new participants.

Our paper with Bernie Baffour on improving accuracy of Australian nonprobability online panel samples has been published in @gesis_ord's mda: doi.org/10.12758/mda.2023.04. While challenging, we showed how carefully designed post-survey adjustment can be successful in reducing bias.
