34 years ago today, Commodore released the Amiga 1200.🎉 21 October 1992. A slimline machine with a 32-bit 68EC020, AGA graphics that finally brought 256 colours, 2 MB of RAM, and a price of £399. It was the last great Commodore home computer — powerful, expandable, and still the one a lot of us wish we’d never sold. Now the legend is coming back in a new form. THEA1200 (from Retro Games Ltd) is a full-size recreation with a real working keyboard, HDMI output, USB ports, Workbench included, and 25 classic games pre-loaded. Load your own titles via WHDLoad, switch between A500/A600/A1200/CD32 modes, and plug it straight into a modern TV. It’s shipping 4 December 2026 — just in time for an Amiga Christmas. The original A1200 launched the AGA era. THEA1200 is bringing that era back for a new generation (and for everyone who still hears the boot sound in their sleep). Sound ON!🔊 Castlevania AGA for the Amiga CD32 (by me :)) was released together with the Amiga 1200 version at the 40th anniversary of the series in September. A reimagined version of Castlevania 1 but with the Castlevania Chronicles/X68K aesthetics, it contains CD music from several games in the series (Vampire Killer track is from Akumajō Dracula X: Chi no Rondo/PC Engine CD-ROM, for example).

Est-ce qu'on aura la possibilité de le faire sur les prochaines Helix ? C'est la grande question, car je me dis que cette feature doit être appliquée pour la prochaine génération de console vu la sortie tardive sur la fin de gen. Ce qui voudrait dire lecteur si jamais sur la prochaine et là on prend. Qu'on aime ou non de toutes les façons, c'est toujours mieux que chez la concurrence qui s'en tape royalement à ce niveau pour la suite et ça laisse au moins la possibilité de revendre, prêter ses jeux, d'en disposer tout du moins. Le marché de l'occasion existerait encore grâce à ça. Maintenant à voir donc ce qu'il va se passer. #PhysicalNeverDies ✊

This is the only known prototype of Sega’s Venus handheld Mega Drive/Genesis, unveiled for the first time in a 2020 Sega history video by producer Hiroyuki Miyazaki. It eventually shipped in North America as the Sega Nomad in 1995, with a totally different design and build.
