I'm going to suggest Oregon is either in a recession or depression...lets focus the discussion on labor:
The only labor growth since 2020 have been health and government...everything else is down. Welcome to suggest why I'm wrong!

Court documents just unsealed by the United States and Washington DC proved Ilhan Omar is here under a false identity and her real name is Ilhan Nur Saeed Elmi, the same last name as the brother she married to get him into the country. She also goes by Ilhan Abdulani Omar and has committed immigration fraud every single time she filled out official paperwork like a passport.
You cannot lie to the federal government about who you are or use false names and pseudonyms. Each time is a crime and the continuance of a conspiracy.
Of course she would hide her real identity because she married her brother Ahmed Nur Saeed Elmi.
Her father committed the original immigration fraud by lying about who he was. He was a high-ranking Lieutenant in a Marxist genocidal army in Somalia that killed at least 200,000 people and fled justice instead of facing. Federal authorities took her passport, her sister's phone was seized and the evidence was so damning they raided Omar's house.
The whole family chain looks like fraud set up by the father using children as golden tickets. USCIS and DHS have no naturalization records for him after thorough searches of every name variation.
Omar claims derivative citizenship through him as a minor but changed her birth year from 1981 to 1982 after. Scrutiny showed she was already 18. That doors have been blown off this scam and it is a nine alarm fire.
Nafisa Fai is a DSA candidate for Washington County Chair and is a refugee from Somalia.
She had very close ties to Ilhan Nur Saeed Elmi (aka: Ilhan Omar) and is also a graduate of Emerge Oregon that has a long list of alumni that have done illegal and immoral actions including Shemia Fagan and Melissa Fireside.
So Nafisa Fai did indeed give a speech in Somali language in Minnesota in front of an upside down flag. One of her staff members did an AI adjustment to make the flag look right side up. Nafisa obviously thinks her constituents are uniformed and believed her lies.
The Oregon Journalist Project, Axios and KATU retracted the story and has confirmed that the flag was indeed upside down.
The cover up is always worse than the crime whether immigrant fraud, marriage fraud or altering a picture of upside down US Flags which should total disrespect to our Constitutional Republic.
Nafisa is not fit for office. Do not vote for her as Washington County Chair.

The British army once sentenced Daniel Morgan to 500 lashes, a punishment that usually killed a man, for the crime of knocking out an officer who struck him. He survived every stroke. And he spent the rest of his life joking that the drummer had miscounted and only given him 499, so the British still owed him one. He collected that debt at a place called Cowpens.
Morgan was not born to anything. He was a rough, barely educated frontiersman who made his living hauling freight by wagon on the Virginia frontier, a big, powerful, hot-tempered young man. During the French and Indian War, serving as a civilian teamster with the British army, a British lieutenant struck him with the flat of a sword. Morgan answered with his fist and dropped the officer cold. For a colonial to strike a British officer was close to a capital offense, and the court-martial sentenced him to five hundred lashes with the cat-o'-nine-tails, a flogging meant to flay a man and very often to kill him.
They tied him up and laid it on, and Daniel Morgan did not die. He carried the ridged scars on his back for the rest of his life. But instead of breaking him, that brutal punishment forged something. It left him with a cold, permanent hatred of the British army and its contempt for colonial men like him, a hatred he would one day repay with interest. And it gave him his lifelong joke: the drummer lost count and stopped at 499, so the British, he liked to say, were still one lash short of paying him in full.
When the Revolution came, that uneducated wagoner turned out to be a natural soldier of rare gifts. He raised a company of frontier riflemen, crack shots who could kill at distances that terrified British regulars, and he led them north to Saratoga, where his marksmen helped shatter Burgoyne's army and win the turning-point victory of the war. Morgan had a feel for battle that trained European officers lacked, an instinct for ground, for timing, and above all for the men he led. He understood that his militia were not professional soldiers and could not be asked to do what professionals did, so instead of cursing them for it, he built his tactics around what they could do.
That genius reached its peak at the Battle of Cowpens in January 1781, one of the most perfectly fought battles in American history. Facing the dreaded Banastre Tarleton, Morgan set a trap built entirely on human nature. He put his unreliable militia in the front line and asked them only for two volleys, then permission to fall back, which they gladly did. Tarleton's British, seeing the Americans retreat, charged forward in a confident rush straight into Morgan's real line of hardened Continentals, and then Morgan sprang the jaws, hitting the British on both flanks at once in a double envelopment while his cavalry rode down their rear. In minutes Tarleton's command was destroyed, hundreds killed and captured, one of the most crushing and complete victories of the war, and Tarleton himself barely escaped. It was the frontier wagoner out-generaling the darlings of the British army.
So the debt was paid. The boy they tried to flog to death grew up to be the man who methodically dismantled the British in the field, who understood soldiers because he had been treated like dirt as one, and who turned the hard lessons of his own back into some of the finest tactics the Revolution ever saw. Remember Daniel Morgan. The British gave him 499 lashes and made an enemy who never forgot, and he collected the last one at Cowpens, with interest.

LeBron James was born to a 16-year-old single mother in Akron, Ohio. He bounced between friends just to have a place to sleep. Then this country handed him everything.
It gave him over $500 million in NBA salary and over $1 billion more in endorsements and business deals. Forbes puts his net worth at $1.4 billion. He was the first active NBA player in history to become a billionaire.
And when the national anthem plays for the country that made all of that possible, he can't give it two minutes of respect.
No hand over his heart. No standing still. He's goofing around, flailing his arms, flapping around, pretending to shoot a basketball, doing literally anything except honoring the flag that turned a kid from Akron into a billionaire.
That's not a protest. That's not a statement. That's just disrespect.
Millions of Americans work their whole lives and never see a fraction of what this country gave him. Men and women died so he could play a game for a living in front of sold-out arenas. The least he could do is stand there and act like it means something.

Here in Oregon, we spend billions on illegals but can’t afford to replace doors with locks in schools to protect our kids. 40 years of this is enough
Oregon’s Healthier Oregon program budgets about $1.2 billion for 2025-27 ($900 million in state funds) to cover roughly 105,000 non-citizens who meet income rules but lack federal Medicaid eligibility. That includes undocumented residents plus others like recent green-card holders and DACA recipients. MPI puts unauthorized immigrants in the state at 155,000 as of mid-2023.
I don’t think any Portlanders would even notice. I’m pretty sure most of these union strikers work at home

One way to reduce speeding on city streets is by changing the timing of lights at intersections. PBOT is building on that concept with a program called "Rest in Red." Watch today's Behind the Wheel >> kptv.com/video/2026/10/21/be…

BREAKING: The Social Security Administration confirms to @FoxNews that it has just undertaken its largest cleanup of Social Security Numbers in the agency's 91-year history, correcting nearly 15% of all U.S. citizen SSNs (roughly 50 million out of 330 million). The changes include:
- Adding 17 million dates of death to files that previously didn't have them w/ help from State Dept.
- With help from DHS, updating 25 million files that had missing citizenship information.
- Correcting an additional 8.5 million records with inaccurate citizenship data.
SSNs are referenced by agencies across the federal government and in states to validate identities and prevent improper payment of tax dollars.

A video circulating out of Portland, Oregon shows a high school football player sprinting across the field and knocking down the kid carrying the American flag.
Friday night, Oct. 16. Grant High School at Jefferson High School, both Portland Public Schools. Grant ran out behind the flag. A Jefferson player in gold came in from the side, hit the flag carrier, and the flag went down. On camera, no adult steps in.
An Instagram account using Jefferson branding posted the clip with this caption: "This is what happens when you disrespect us... wasn't feeling that American flag 😂"
A laughing emoji. Over knocking down a kid holding the flag.
These are kids, so leave their names out of it. But the adults running this program owe everyone an answer. Was anybody disciplined? Has the district said one word about it?
If you want answers, contact Portland Public Schools and the OSAA and ask what they're doing about it.
