(L) for Legacy kids who got admission because daddy donated a building,
(C) for Caste privilege kids who never faced hunger, got private coaching, English medium, and quota-free advantage their entire life.
Because if you really cared about merit, you’d be demanding transparency for all forms of privilege, not just the ones that inconvenience you.
Also, here’s a fact you won’t like but Reservation students have to pass the same MBBS exams as everyone else to become doctors. If someone is incompetent, they don’t graduate quota or not. The dangerously low marks trope is a lazy casteist lie.
Medicine doesn’t just need marks it needs empathy, skill, and understanding of ground realities. And if privilege‑born doctors couldn’t save millions in this country, maybe tagging them with (Privileged) is the real justice we need.

A few days back, @ShachiGambhir told me her Zepto orders automatically started getting placed as COD instead of the usual online payment method. I ignored it at first, but then realized how it's yet another shady practice.
Zepto has changed its default CTA on the order screen to "Pay Cash/UPI on delivery" instead of the "Pay Online" option. Most people tap the button on the right due to muscle memory.
Seems harmless at first, because you would think you just have to pay the delivery executive via UPI instead of paying online. WRONG. This is where the dark pattern starts.
When you place the order with the COD option, Zepto automatically adds ₹15+GST as "cash handling fees" that most people wouldn't notice. Also, it only shows up once you hit the order button, and it's a time-limited message that vanishes in a few seconds. It is NOT a part of the final invoice that you can view before placing the order.
Working in the d2c space, I understand charging an extra fee for COD orders when you're shipping goods, because you risk cancellation/refusal at the time of delivery. But what business does it have on a quick commerce app???
This app just doesn't seem to stop these garbage practices.

Tatkal booking on IRCTC has become a joke.
Seats show available, but the moment it turns 10 AM, the site hangs.
10 AM: Seats visible.
10:01: Website freezes.
10:03: All seats gone—even in remote routes.
10:04: Site suddenly smooth.
By the time it works again, all tickets are gone even for small routes.
Then the website runs smoothly because nothing’s left to book.
This used to happen years ago.
Suresh Prabhu had fixed it, but now it’s back.
