Gucci Mane takes shots at his former label artists on the new song "1017." On Oct. 16, Guwop released his latest album, Against All Odds. The final track is called 1017 and features the Atlanta rhymer venting about his former artists being ungrateful and fumbling the opportunity he gave them. "1017, I took ni**as out the trap/Put a chain around they neck, put they name up on the map," Gucci raps on the chorus. "Gave a broke ni**a a chance, now they act like I'm a opp/How the f**k you bite the hand that took your a*s up off the block?" "I should charge these ni**as interest for the careers that I gave 'em/I should charge ni**as tuition for the game that I gave 'em," Gucci continues. "Don't confuse my helpin' hand with me needin' your a*s/I was rich before I met you, I'll be rich when you pass." Gucci has often faced backlash due to the number of people on his label who wind up dead or behind bars. He has also had some disgruntled artists. 1017 artist Pooh Shiesty is currently awaiting trial for kidnapping and robbery, with prosecutors saying Pooh forced Gucci to sign a contract release form at gunpoint at a Dallas recording studio in January. Gucci previously addressed the incident on the song "Crash Dummy," which also appears on Against All Odds.
