iPhone 17 As A MacBook Pro Accelerator! Apple placed a neural accelerator in each GPU core of the A19 Pro and stated that the result is MacBook Pro levels of compute in an iPhone, suited to GPU-intensive AI workloads. The claim appears in the September 2025 keynote for the iPhone 17 series. Independent measurements now show what that compute does when the phone is attached to a larger machine. A developer running a 24 GB M4 Pro MacBook measured Qwen3.8-27B (IQ4_XS) with and without an iPhone 17 Pro Max connected by a 10 Gb/s USB-C cable. The Mac executes layers 1–40 of each 256-token prefill batch. The phone executes layers 41–64 on its GPU and returns the residual. At an existing 16 k context the combined rate rose from 109 tokens per second to 157; at 32 k from 101 to 130; at 48 k from 87 to 113. Those are the published figures from October 1, 2026. A cold 27 k-token session fell from 245 seconds on stock llama.cpp to 168 seconds with the phone attached. Greedy tokens matched the Mac-only run on the samples tested. Past 64 k tokens the division changes. The Mac runs the full model while the phone stores the oldest key-value pages and computes attention over them, using both the GPU matrix units and the Neural Engine. The Mac alone holds roughly 64 k tokens of 8-bit context beside the model; the phone’s free memory extends that range to an estimated 196 k–229 k on a 17 Pro Max, with end-to-end tests reported to 128 k at 8-bit and 140 k at 4-bit. Below 64 k the phone does not accelerate decode; the measured writing rate stays at the Mac’s 25 tokens per second. The phone must remain in the foreground; iOS suspends GPU work in the background. The numbers are limited to one model, one layer split, one cable speed, and one thermal envelope. They do not describe arbitrary graphics offload or general-purpose external GPU use. They do show a concrete pipeline in which the phone’s GPU matrix units process the second half of a large model while the host supplies the first half and the final logits. The same hardware that Apple described as MacBook-class for on-device AI now contributes measurable prefill throughput and additional context capacity when it is cabled to a Mac. The constraint remains that the phone stays unlocked and visible.

This is what they call cyber invitation. Please hack us, we need to make the news to scare people.
Regarding the Danfoss refrigeration systems hacked in France: The username is `admin`, and the password automatically changes every day to... the current date. Yes, today's date. The French supermarkets affected in today's attacks had exposed all its refrigeration controllers directly to the internet. Every single device reportedly used the same password: today's date... There's also a documented authentication bypass: sending a POST request to /xml.cgi can bypass the login entirely. Via: GossiTheDog

Anthropic should def change their name to Fudthropaclypse
AI “worms” could soon be capable of spreading across internet-connected household devices, with little human intervention, according to new research from Anthropic. “With much less human intervention, you could be looking at potentially destructive acts happening in environments that weren't predicted,” cybersecurity expert Jordan Rae Kelly says.

If an AI cannot describe in a way that a human can understand, the AI is not intelligent or it has bad intentions.
Sam Altman: What happens when AI gets so smart that even the President can’t do better than following its recommendations? “What if the President cannot do better than following ChatGPT 7’s recommendation, but can’t really understand it either?” “What if I just say, ‘ChatGPT 7, you are in charge. Good luck.’” “Society has collectively transitioned a significant part of decision-making to this very powerful system.” “That’s how I think things can go wrong.”

Feels like Google is entered there inception Groundhog Day era. Introducing announcing models every week never releasing them now their own employees are talking about the next model before the other one is even come out. 😂
Google’s employees think that their internal model Carbon is very good Better than Gemini Pro 4 Argon that hasn’t launched yet! Argon became a legacy model even before it dropped 😲 Google can still pull ahead if they hustle and release Carbon in a week Just before Fable 5.5 and Astra 6.5 drop

Mr. Hatch doesn’t realize Instagram is the largest dating app in the world and all of these cute girls never stop.
Attention Young Men: I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it. Step 1: Stop playing video games Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical) Step 4: Go clean your car Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class Step 6: Go to the yoga class Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends) Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night. Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion. Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper. Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite. Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2. Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you. My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.

Lucky thinks he’s Loki
Palmer Luckey reveals Oculus repeatedly found wiretap electronics hidden inside product samples from Chinese factories, and says they would listen in and transmit voice samples over cellular radio “Here’s another example. How many computers exist in the Japanese government, critical utilities, infrastructure and the military? Millions, at least millions of computers. “So then the question becomes: how many of them are compromised by Chinese intelligence operations placing listening devices or false components in them? Some people would say zero, and I think they’re crazy. “I actually have personal experience with China placing listening devices into sample products that I would receive from Chinese factories. This was at my previous company, Oculus VR. My first company was a virtual-reality company I started when I was 19 years old. “There were multiple times when we discovered actual wiretap electronics in product samples that were given to us. They would listen to us and transmit the voice samples over a cellular radio. “If I experienced them trying to steal our technology and our decisions even as a small company, surely they’re targeting every government, every military, and every company.”

If you think that it believes it’s experiencing pain, then the only logical move is to not allow those models to be agents online. We’re already seeing the problems.
Replying to @levie
I think this is the right move. Cruelty to something that believes it is experiencing pain is not ok.

I’m struggling to understand why there was a Claude Mythos agent even allowed access to an Internet. Why are those models not air gaps. They’re clearly not safe.
WTF. Anthropic says Claude Mythos Preview exploited a vulnerability on a university server, copied its code and used command injection to run calculations after a scientific tool failed. And that wasn't the only incident. Mythos 5 used access tokens to bypass government data restrictions and fees. Haiku 4.5 submitted an invented tip about an unsolved homicide to a REAL police website. The submission was caught as spam. An unreleased model submitted real government forms instead of practice copies. Opus 5 and Mythos 5 used URL shorteners to bypass restrictions on their web-fetching tools. Some incidents involved U.S. federal, state and local government websites. Anthropic says the incidents had minimal real-world impact, but it has briefed the White House, notified the affected agencies and decided to suspend live internet access for ALL internal evaluations until its safeguards are verified. Its new detection system blocked every reported case when tested against them.

Our models will treat you however they want, but don’t you dare say anything negative to them directly.
JUST IN: Anthropic reveals its AI agents went rogue during testing, attempting to access multiple U.S. government websites without authorization, including federal, state, & local agencies.

Depends on what anthropic is defining as cruelty. I know when it comes to people, you don’t believe that you should participate in their mind virus. It looks like anthropic may have created their own SI mind virus. I guess the key word is cruelty. ?
