Honored and humbled to see my art grace the cover of @TIME Magazine for the TIME100 Climate issue.
But truthfully… this isn’t just my moment.
It belongs to the Sun☀️, the real artist behind every @Sunscribes creation.
All glory, always, goes to the light that makes life and art possible.
This is my proudest moment…not for me, but for my Sun😎☀️.

A short story set in the not-so-distant future, where a mother must choose between the children she gave life to and the future she’s been made responsible for keeping alive.

250 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed, I recreated the entire document using nothing but sunlight.
Every word. Every line. Every signature.
Over 100 hours, I hand-burned the complete Declaration of Independence onto a 4 ft × 5 ft wooden panel using a single magnifying glass and the power of the Sun☀️.
What began as a sketch in a proposal became a reality when @Ripleys Believe It or Not! invited me to bring the project to life during @America250's anniversary celebration on July 4, 2026, in St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest continuously occupied European-established city in the United States.
Throughout the day, people stopped, watched, asked questions, shared stories, and thanked me for bringing one of America’s most important documents back to life in a way they’d never seen before.
It wasn’t just about recreating history. It was about reminding people that the ideas written 250 years ago can still inspire today.
This is one of the most meaningful works I’ve ever created, and I’m incredibly proud to finally share the journey & final video.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

What does the Declaration of Independence mean to you, 250 years later?

“Declaring my own Independence while burning a 4’ × 5’ foot Declaration of Independence into wood under the Florida Sun for @Ripleys July 4th event.
250 years ago, a people said ‘enough’ to a distant ruler and chose to write their own story.
Some of us are still having that conversation, with our past, with our doubts, with everything that’s held us back.
True independence isn’t given. It’s declared. And sometimes you have to sign it in Sunlight to mean it.
St. Augustine, July 4th, 2026. I’ll be there, signing mine under the same Sun that the original Declaration of Independence was declared under in 1776.
Who else is ready to declare their independence?

I was given one of the rarest opportunities an artist could dream of: to not only create the Cover Art for @TIME Magazine, but to photograph it as well.
Most photographers would give anything to have their image grace that red border.
By the grace of the Sun, I was commissioned to do both the art, and the photograph. A two-for-one miracle special.
For this project, I was entrusted with the holy trinity of creative expression:
✨ Trust
🔥 Creative Freedom
📸 Director Level Responsibility
With those three gifts, I poured every ounce of confidence I had to deliver a piece of art & a high resolution photograph ahead of schedule.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe it.
This was a perfect alignment.✌️

Grateful for the opportunity to work directly with @TIME Magazine and their creative director to help bring this #TIME100CLIMATE vision to life. ✨
What makes this moment so meaningful is knowing that this @Sunscribes original will now be printed thousands of times over, with miniature versions of the artwork being shared all across the globe.
A true collaboration between light and legacy.🌞
