It genuinely touched me to see Sunflower Robotics @SunflowerRobo pressure-redistribution technology being used in a clinical setting for a patient living with diabetes. The road from engineering to real-world impact isn’t easy, and moments like this remind us why we do it. A big thank you to @DrMikelDaniels and WeTreatFeet Podiatry for working with us, sharing their observations, and helping us learn from real-world use. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited to keep moving forward.

Hi everyone, I'm Marwa, founder of Sunflower robotics @SunflowerRobo. The thing I can't stop thinking about: how much intelligence you can engineer into structure itself. Not sensors, not motors...geometry. We build compliant lattice structures that redistribute load passively. No actuators, no power, no electronics. The intelligence lives in the shape. It started in diabetic footcare, passively protecting a foot that's lost sensation, but the same geometry becomes a soft layer between robots and the physical world: the interface where a machine meets the ground, an object, a surface. One capability, many bodies. Most of the field adds complexity: more sensing, more compute, more parts. I'm interested in the opposite question, what's the least complexity that gets the job done? Would love to connect with anyone thinking about compliant mechanisms, physical intelligence, or contact. Always up to trade ideas.
