I REMAIN UNDETERRED AS THE APC CANDIDATE FOR KOGI WEST SENATORIAL DISTRICT IN THE FORTHCOMING 2027 ELECTION
My attention has been drawn to the unfortunate judgment of the Federal High Court in the suit filed by Hon. Samuel Bamidele Aro challenging my candidacy as the flag bearer of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.
It is clear that the judgment runs contrary to the evidence before the court. It is also unfortunate that the trial judge departed from his own previous rulings, having decided at least three similar cases on the statute of limitations in pre-election proceedings and the proper authority to conduct party primaries and determine their winners.
Fortunately, our legal system provides a right of appeal. The people of Kogi West, the entire state, and even Hon. Samuel Bamidele Aro know that he did not participate in the primary election, yet submitted fabricated documents to support a false claim.
We will pursue our rights through the Nigerian legal system, confident in the resilience of our judiciary.
I wish to state that this incident is the handiwork of the state’s rulers, who have been desperate and relentless in their efforts to persecute me and protect their grip on Kogi State’s resources—an issue I have spoken out against.
I remain strong and undeterred, and my campaign continues with renewed zeal and vigour. My detractors do not love our party or Mr. President. I remain Mr. President’s number-one supporter in Kogi State.
I urge my supporters to stay strong as we pursue redress in court. This is part of what we must go through to reach our destination. Let us remain steadfast in our quest for good governance.

At the Iyamoye Day celebration, I had the opportunity to address our people, appreciate their overwhelming turnout, and thank them for the love and support they continue to show me.
I also congratulated the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.), on his conferment with the chieftaincy title of Akinjagunla of the Iyamoye Kingdom, and thanked him for honouring the occasion with his presence.
I equally appreciated the organisers and the entire Iyamoye community for making the celebration memorable.
I used the opportunity to encourage our people to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
Thank you, Iyamoye, for the warm reception and genuine show of love. I deeply appreciate you all.

My return to Ijumu LG for the Iyamoye Day celebration was another opportunity to reconnect with our people, pay homage to our traditional rulers, engage with community leaders, and interact with our youths.
I was warmly received, and I used the opportunity to appreciate our royal fathers, community leaders and the good people of the area for their continued love, prayers and unwavering support. These engagements remain important to me because meaningful representation begins with listening, staying connected and understanding the needs of our communities.
A major highlight of the celebration was the conferment of the traditional title Akinjagunla of Iyamoye Kingdom on the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.), on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
This well-deserved honour, bestowed by the traditional institution of Iyamoye, recognises his distinguished service to our nation and his contributions to Nigeria.
I celebrate the people of Iyamoye Kingdom for preserving their rich cultural heritage and using this occasion to recognise service and excellence.
As always, I remain committed to strengthening our relationship with our communities, honouring our traditional institutions and working towards the continued growth and development of our people.
Together, we will keep building stronger communities and a better Kogi West.

The people of Egbe, Yagba West LG, came out in impressive numbers today, demonstrating their enthusiasm, solidarity, and unwavering support for the reelection bid of President Bola AhmedTinubu, myself, and all other candidates of the All Progressive Congress in the forthcoming general elections. This energy, unity, and excitement witnessed throughout the rally are a testament to the strength of our grassroots movement and our shared commitment to a greater and better Kogi West in particular and Nigeria at large. I am deeply grateful to the good people of Egbe, my people, and everyone who came out to be part of this movement. Together, we remain focused, united, and determined to keep the good work going. The journey continues, and the best is yet to come!
I wouldn't disappoint your love and support.

My recent visit to Kogi West reaffirmed my commitment to being present, not just making promises. I paid homage to our revered traditional rulers, including the Elejuku of Ejuku, the Oba of Ife-Olukotun, the Agbana of Isanlu, and the Oba of Odoolu in Kabba, and held town hall meetings with our youths and women to strengthen our shared vision for community development. I donated an 18-seater bus and six motorcycles to the Okun Hunters Association to support their work in keeping our communities safe, and inspected bridge, erosion control and drainage projects in Ilafin and Ejuku, where residents expressed great appreciation. In Ayere, I joined Chief Olatunji Olusoji and the people in celebrating their rich cultural heritage and pledged support for the Ayere Palace project until completion. I also visited the classroom rehabilitation project in Agbadu Bunu and commend the encouraging pace of work. I will keep showing up, listening, and supporting projects that truly impact lives.
My recent visit to my people in Kogi West is a reaffirmation of my commitment to be present at all times, not just to make promises, as I paid royal homage to our revered traditional rulers: HRM Oba Lamidi Folorunsho Ayeni, the Elejuku of Ejuku; HRM Oba Shuaib Ayegbajeje Muhammed, the Oba of Ife-Olukotun; HRM Oba Moses Babatunde Etombi, the Agbana of Isanlu; and HRH Oba Joseph Osatuyi, the Oba of Odoolu in Kabba.
I also made time for the voices that matter most in our political space, engaged directly with our youths and women, and held town hall meetings with robust conversations that support initiatives aimed at strengthening our shared vision for community development.
As part of my efforts to enhance grassroots security, I donated an 18-seater bus and six motorcycles to the Okun Hunters Association through their representative, Hon. Taofiq Issa, to ease their operations and improve mobility as they sacrifice sleep for our collective security.
I also inspected ongoing projects, including bridge construction as well as erosion control and drainage projects in Ilafin and Ejuku, both in Yagba East Local Government Area, where the people expressed immense joy and appreciation, a deeply satisfying moment for me to witness such heartfelt reactions.
In Ijumu Local Government Area, I joined the good and hospitable people of Ayere, where my brother and illustrious son of Ayere, Chief Olatunji Olusoji, graciously received us. We shared in the celebration of the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Ayere people and I was pleased to contribute to the Ayere Palace project and pledged to remain actively involved until its completion.
In furtherance of my commitment to quality education and a brighter future for the next generation, I visited the site of the ongoing rehabilitation of a block of classrooms in Agbadu Bunu. The project was brought to my attention a fortnight ago, and I must commend the encouraging and noteworthy pace of work so far.
As always, I will keep engaging, showing up, listening, and supporting projects that truly serve our people and directly impact lives.
