With the #EarthFlyby of @ESASolarOrbiter happening on Nov 27th I've been playing around with plotting the trajectory data (spice kernels) to visualise the flyby 🛰️👋🌍
*not plotted here is that Solar Orbiter will be in the Earths shadow from ~04:29-04:47 UT

I enjoyed and learned at least something from the #SunPy workshop (6-9 am PDT) as part of the AAS meeting. I still have difficulty of getting started, not even understanding basic things like how to open jupyter notebook, etc. More help needed for beginners. @SunPyProject

@NASASun Not only is it #PiDay but it is also Sunday. So we can also celebrate with a little @SunPyProject This fantastic python package allows you to download and work with this beautiful SDO data! Then you can make your own solar plasma pie! 🌞🔭🚀
We’re celebrating #PiDay with plasma pie. 🥧☀️ The Sun is made of plasma, a state of matter in which particles have split into charged ions & electrons. Plasma at different temperatures emits light at different wavelengths, seen in this colorful solar pie! go.nasa.gov/3qIYmTG
